They are projecting Barton as better than those.

Speaking of which, I like the West Virginia Center. If he can somehow last to the 3rd, he'd be a solid pick.
I guess that's kind of the point though. You can go OT - C with your first two picks and not have to guess whether or not Barton can play C.

If you go Fuaga/Van Pran, there's a lot more certainty that you can get one of them to play G, but you know you have a C. I just don't like Dallas "projecting" a C if they don't end up bringing back Biadasz. They're too good of a team to mess around like that.

And again, I really like Barton, but if there's a need at T and C, then just get those guys. That's not true every year, but this year it is.

Lose the Longhorn and that's a really good draft.

You are higher on Morgan than me but I have him as a high 2nd rounder so it's close.
That Longhorn is a Butkus trophy finalist. If you watched Longhorn football you would do backflips to get him in the 4th

Cowboys are not going C/G in the draft with Tyler, Tyler and Zack (for at least another 1-2 years) set at the interior positions. I can see Tackle, DE, CB (although unlikely as Diggs and Bland will be starting outside), and maybe WR for the 1st round. I see Dallas taking a RB fairly high next year also.
I honestly think we can afford to go BPA the entire draft. No glaring needs except RB and LB. Those spots can be addressed in FA if we don’t draft them.

OT is the biggest need but if we are picking 26-32, it’s not likely we are going to find a bookend tackle. Maybe we need to just take the BPA.

26. Dallas Cowboys: Graham Barton, G/C, Duke
A college left tackle, Barton is going to move inside in the NFL and projects well at either guard or center. The Cowboys might need help at both spots with Tyler Biadasz a pending free agent and the future uncertain for Tyron Smith. This pick assumes Tyler Smith would replace Tyron Smith at left tackle, thus creating a need at left guard.

Ideal selection-could replace Biaz or play LG.

My "Group of Three" right now for the Cowboys first rounder are:

Taliese Fuaga T Oregon State
Cooper DeJean S/CB Iowa
Graham Barton OL Duke

I really like Fuaga. His mean streak is up there with Tyler Smith.

DeJean would be a dream as a "positionless defender" for DQ.

Barton can play all 5 OL spots. Technique-wise, he reminds me of Zack Martin.

There might be some really good WR's that fall to the Cowboys pick so they could come into play.
With Biaz unsigned, both Tyron/Martin aging, makes a ton of sense to add a versatile offensive lineman.

Corner makes a ton of sense as well since Gilmore/Lewis are free agents and Diggs is coming back from major injury.

Coleman 12th to the Saints. Benson not in the 1st round.
Man I hope Benson makes it to our 2nd rd pick or close enough that we can move up for him. I'd love to get Coleman but guess he's not going to be around when we pick in the 1st.

Keep an eye out for Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell.

Traits-based guy who fits the Will McClay mold and the Cowboys scouts have been to Toledo to see him. He'll be at teh Senior Bowl as well.

Toledo plays in the MAC confierence championship game tomorrow at 9 AM pacific if you want to check him out.

Thanks, I will try to watch him. Have heard his name, but haven't really dived into my draft prep as of yet.

Idk I can't find the quote at the moment, but they said they weren't moving him in a press conference I think.
Reason why I am asking is cause Romo was the one who mentioned it. With the way Tyron is playing, might make sense to give him another season and continue to develop prospects behind him like Richards.
