How many safeties do we need? If you got TE and G in the first two rounds, I believe you had to go RB in the third. DT just got lower on my list today because of the Hankins signing unless we go with Bresee or Kancey in the first to try to get a difference-maker. Might go with a wide body later since Bohanna hasn't developed and Hankins is on a one-year deal.

Would love to see a TE, K and QB taken among those remaining picks if the draft fell like this. Maybe TE Zack Kuntz at 129, K Chad Ryland at 169 (if gone, then Jake Moody), QB Aidan O'Connell at 176, FB Hunter Luepke at 212 and DE Villami Fehoko at 246.

The way some of those are ranked (by Draftek at least), where they are picked can be switched and we might can even afford to take someone like Andrew Voorhees in the fifth (if available) and still get Ryland/Moody and O'Connell.

Kearse and Hooker are in the final years of their deals. Both are creeping up on 30.

I'm concerned about this season not next season. I know you have to plan ahead, but it's also important to try to win now by fixing spots where we are not as well off as we are at safety ... where we've also got Mukuamu and Bell grooming to fill in for Kearse and Hooker anyway.
