Brunell to miss 2-3 weeks of off-season work

McCown lost the starting job to Warner and is now in Detroit.

Warners numbers: 242 375 64.5 2713 7.2 11 9
McCowns numbers: 163 270 60.4 1836 6.8 9 11

With regard to the injuries 2 major differences...

1. Thumb vs index finger...thumb is obviously paramount as to how you grip much less throw a football.

2. Warners injury was to soft tissue as well surrounding the thumb, which made his recovery more complex.

Oh yeah, I forgot you were the finger specialist......doctor in the house!

I actually don't think the coaching staff WANTS to start Brunell for 16 games this season. I think Gibbs expects Campbell to take over at some point.
I'm looking forward to that. I think Campbell is a bust and I think it was silly to run Ramsey off for them. Guess we'll find out though...

I really hope Ramsay becomes a good QB so that this bs about how good Gibbs is about developing them will disappear once and for all.

I dont see Ramsey becoming a pro bowler or anything like that. Even if Ramsey does turn out to be a good QB for the Jets that doesnt mean Gibb's repuation for developing them will be ruinied. Please, its not like Gibbs drafted the guy right. He inherited him after spurrier coached him for a few years.

Actually, Brunell is pretty resilient; he'll recover well and get back to business. I'm not wondering about his ability to get the ball off ...I'm concerned about his ability to get the ball off under pressure.

I'm not a Brunell fan! I was a Ramsey fan. It's obvious that Mr Gibbs is looking for the SB ring this season. He couldn't be looking for anything else. Skins management have stacked up the roster with FAs and hardly any rookies. That said, it only leads One to believe that there are no serious plans to build for the future Skins of 2007 - 2010.

I could Be wrong (because I've been wrong before), but I don't think Brunell will take Mr Gibbs back to the SB ...at least not In 2006!

More like you pray he's a bust.

well sure I hope that....duh
before he was drafted, I really thought that he was no more than an NFL backup.
although I think he'll be better than Quincy Carter (yikes I said that name), i still think he'll be your version of what Quincy Carter was for us.
Brunell is your best option.

The Cardinals offense and passing attack was more highly ranked then the Skins or Cowboys, and that's without a rushing game and a horrible offensive line.

that was 2 years after he injured his thumb

Its gonna be an interesting season in the NFC East this yr. The thing I think we can all agree on is that the Eagles are gonna be at the bottom the standings.

I'm a Die hard skins fans who's boss is a very knowledgeble boys fan. Now we argue all the time but we both know a lot about football, and I told him today after seeing TO on TV that TO is gonna be a force this yr for anyone. he got to prove everyone wrong on him for last yr plus he can make your team so much better in other areas.. a good sign of a elite player. TO does have his bagges but this yr he will be on his best behavior and all he really wanted was more money - You guys paid him and now he's happy. The guy apparently has been working out 5 times a week, and was blowing past your 2nd corner today but he would do that to Henry too. I'm glad Taylor ain't going to jail but I worry about springs this yr getting ayr old and covering TO. He will also no doubt improve your tight end and running pack packages since he kinda forces the opponent to pay that much attention to him.

Offensive line my boss believes is still a weakness for you guys. And we have upgraded our defense except in lavar's old spot WLB. I can't wait till the 2nd game to see how we both fare against each other but your team def had a good offseason, and I see alot of people on here who still arn't convinced.

All i pray for is no injuries (serious) to either team.

I think our best bet is putting Rogers and Taylor on him, and putting Springs on Glenn. I don't think Springs is physical enough for TO.

What does your pass-rush look like RiggoForever? A solid pass-rush could also keep TO in check -- especially with Bledsoe (because he very seldom is known for moving around outside the pocket).

Assuming Washington does that... who would be on Witten? Fasano?

On topic... Brunell should be fine by the time training camp rolls around, unless the skins are hiding something about the injury.
