Prolly forgetting some. Just off the top of my head. Laterzzzzzz

Stood next to Michael Irvin as he was signing autographs shirtless around 91 or so, he is big man. No wonder he abused so many 5,11 190lb CBs.

Gordie Howe was at an autograph session ... he is my favourite. He was getting up there in years, he was such nice person...I had a Bob Seger shirt on and he was telling me he knows him and likes his music ... that was cool.

Coolest one was Jacques Laperrière. Hockey Hall of Fame defenseman for Montreal. Really humble dude. Injuries have made him walk with a limp.

Next one was Alan Fine, producer at Marvel. Very quiet down to earth guy.

My cousin won miss universe '97.

I was still in the Navy at the time at Coronado. I used to go up and hangout/chaperone her at functions/events in Los Angeles.

I met too many models to remember and a few actors/actresses. Mostly from big tv shows from that time period. Names escape me now.

Had tons of fun with some of her model friends. Was a good period in my life!

Not going to lie. I was several paygrades above my level at the time, but made the most of it!

I had the perfect in - I was already vetted by one of their own (my cousin). I semi-dated one for a bit, but got stationed elsewhere and things ended.

I got into events and VIP sections that I had no business being in. It was surreal at times when the only ugly person around was me and my wife thinks I'm no slouch.

Was fun while it lasted!

Met Hulk Hogan and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in a local bar back in the mid 80's.

Met and chatted w/ Andre The Giant for close to an hour. Had drinks w/ Hulk Hogan's daughter in Tampa. Was in Memphis at a trade show for 4 days but snuck out one of those days to play golf w/ my buddy. We were standing on the 2nd tee box waiting to hit and a cart drove up w/ two guys who then proceeded to ask us if we wouldn't mind joining up w/ them. I wasn't even looking at these guys because I was too busy yelling at the group ahead to hurry the heck up. My buddy agrees and then walks over to me to explain and apologize because he knows that we snuck out of the show to get away from people and now we have to do more of the chit-chat deal. He could hardly speak. He says...'Umm TheBigEasy88, we're about to play golf w/ John Daly and Michael Jordan. Immediately after he tells me this, JD is asking us if we'd like a cold one because it's hot as heck and it's obviously going to be slow as %&)*^. I pounded beers w/ JD, was offered a cigar and smoked one w/ MJ and then spent 2 hours w/ them after the round in the club house eating and drinking some more. Also ran into Larry Bird and Robert Parish in Cleveland's airport and immediately became 'one of those guys' by asking for their autographs.

Met John Randle, he bought my Uncle's house in San Antonio back in the 90's and they became good friends. Dude almost broke my hand shaking it. He came out to watch my cousin play a basketball game and would give us free gear from Funny dude.

Had dinner with Tony, Toni, Tone --- needed to be their chauffeur for a night and they had me come eat with them.
Got drunk with Percy Sledge. --- he knew my boss and we hung out after his concert even though I was underage
Met Jesse Jackson and Patti LaBelle.
Did all of these things while working at the NCO Club at Andrews AFB right after high school. The would have events there.

Met Muhammad Ali - he was signing autographs in an Arby's at a mall in Washington DC. His autograph was already on a religious pamphlet and you told him your name and he would scribble it down. He couldn't write very well so it was painfully obvious his "signature" was done by someone else, but was still a cool experience.

Met Tug McGraw in the 1980's. My uncle worked for the Phillies and took me to a game in 1980. I got a jersey, a jacket, batting gloves. Really cool experience.

Caught Sleepy Floyd staring at my wife's butt (ex wife now). He was sitting next to us in an IHOP in San Antonio. We got up to leave, he turned around with head sideways, and I looked back. He just smiled and winked.

Bruce Bowen sat behind me at the theater watching Knocked Up.

Met Jesse James Leija at the SA Rock and Roll Marathon.

I didn't meet these guys, but was in a strip club when Michael Jordan and Dennis Rodman came in. MJ is my childhood idol, but you couldn't get anywhere close. Needless to say, the girls were scarce from that point forward. We just left.

And you did this all by yourself? Didn't bother to call any of us, did you? When the Most Selfish Thread starts up, I know who I am nominating.

Hah!

I did get a buddy that was in my platoon and his brother who was a Riverside cop at the time to go with me when she did some hula festival in LA. Caused a bit of ruckus because we drank like fish at the time and there were some important people around.

No one told us we couldn't jump over the VIP section bar and start making drinks like Tom Cruise in the movie Cocktail!

Great story! You could make a movie out of that one!
