I didn't really mind those guys. They may wind up being great additions that really do help the offense. Who knows at this stage.

It seems to me that Jerry (and some fans) want to have it both ways: they like the idea of adding Moore and either Clabo or Winston but they want everyone to be okay with it if they don't.

This draft wasn't as bad as last years draft. There was not much help for the oline after the first round. Last year there was good linemen available in the second and third. I liked the players drafted by the Cowboys much more than the players drafted last year. There wasn't anybody but Warford and Winters to fix the line this year. They decided to fix the line a year too late.

It's almost as if Bill Callahan and the rest of the organization don't share your assessment of the state of our OL. That's just crazy.

The same guys who told us that group last year was the answer?

Going into this offseason, we had four highly criticized players/positions on the OL. We have addressed one of those four.

so far.

Yeah, but we drafted some great backups at TE, WR, a project safety.......... You are asking for a little too much considering the need at those positions.

your totally right bro. we should have drafted some backup ol instead of rotational guys at other positions because the ol rotate in so often. randle, escobar and williams will never get on the field as rookies....

again not sure why this is so hard to follow but 8 ol went in round 1. thats the most in over 20 years. the ol board was picked over by the end of round 1. there were only a handful of ol go in round 2-3 and that was weighted heavily to futures picks with tons of raw potential.

Parnell is a huge RT upgrade.

Ask Romo what he thinks of the RT situation and get back to me...

Um, ok? Thanks for not making a point.

Parnell was a killer run blocker and had a lower pressure percentage than Smith.

But hey, please continue with your "ask Romo" line of argument. Very persuasive stuff.

Yeah it is. Considering that Callahan and the rest of the organization's results have flat out sucked and cost this team for years.

He had less playing time but in that time he was giving up a lot of pressure..

Dude is a jag at best, needs more time to develop. So till then we need a stop gap vet...

Parnell had a 4.2% pressure rate, which I saw was lower than Smith (6.0%) and Free (6.2%).

Why hasn't anyone else signed them yet?

If somebody else did sign them then we would all be upset at Jerry for waiting too late. I think nobody else has because they are waiting for a bargain the same as Dallas. Why do people always ask the question why didn't anybody else sign them before now? Why did most of the teams pass on the GB qb Rogers? Just because Clabo hasn't been signed before now doesn't mean he isn't any good. Do you think any other team would pay Free what the Cowboys are paying him now? Or are you saying that the Cowboys should keep Free at his current salary?

I think you will eat those words after the season if he is our starter.

According to Mike Fisher this morning, Doug Free will NOT accept the pay cut, which means he will be released on June 1st.

Sounds like his agent did some calling around, and there's a team willing to pay him more than the Cowboys.
