Bryan how short of a leash is Roy Williams on and how much are they looking WR in the draft? I think alot hangs on Austins health and there is little behind him.

I will offer this about those first round grades....last year during the 2009 Draft, they did have a first round grade on McCoy the RB from Pitt and did not select him when they got to their pick in the 2nd round....They were holding on Max Unger and he was selected right in front of them...thus this is why Jerry traded down....

This is why I love the draft, you can stack your boards and pin point your prospects but when the phones start to ring and players start moving up and down the draft all bets are off.

I don't know about the short leash for Roy...but again...I don't think this is such a surprise but I do believe they are going to draft a receiver in this draft at some point...they have brought in four of them for visits with the highest graded one being Dez Bryant...they can't say enough good things about the young receivers they currently have on the squad....but if you have a chance to upgrade...they need to go for it...

Bryan, Cowboys seem to have interest in Ducasse (went to his pro day, brought him in for a private interview). Can he play tackle, or will he have to move to guard at the next level? And is he worth the 27th pick?

Bryan what do they think of Ogletree's upside? Future starter or complimentary guy?

They are looking at Ducasse as a tackle...as far as the 27th pick...I think that might be a stretch...I know at the combine....they were very impressed with his athletic ability....here is one of those scouting terms for you..."very raw..."

Very high on Ogletree....he is a great kid to visit with in the locker room...I enjoyed covering him in 2009 for ESPN 103.3....this guy has some juice in his game...loved how Jason Garrett used him on the bubble screens and such...I really do think the arrow is going up for him...he is a lot further along than any rookie receiver that I have recalled...

We have been hearing rumblings about the boys packaging players/picks to move up in this draft in attempts to strengthen their ability to acquire an immediate impact player. Can you say one way or another how likely such a scenario would be?

Specifically Barber or Crayton or both to the Dolphins according to rumors on the "internets"

Proscout,

Do the Cowboys like Pouncy?

Do you think he will be there?

What do they see in Proctor?

If Gurode goes down for any length of time, I think the Cowboys would be in big, big trouble. Pouncy can play guard and be your future center.

I like the deal for the Commanders...but as you well know...the Skins had better find a way to fix those offensive line issues...they were by far the worst in the NFC East....Okung will help but I feel they will need more help...McNabb still has some mobility but not enough to play behind this line...I always thought that Campbell had some ability, it will be interesting what the Skins do with him now...

I don't see Pouncy there when the Cowboys pick at 27...I have never been a fan of Proctor and to be honest...I really don't know what they see in him...the more I watched him the worst I think he got...to get back to Pouncy...I wish the Cowboys would have a chance to select him...I think he would be a huge upgrade over Andre...there were two areas where I thought the Cowboys struggled was at ROG and at Center...Pouncy will most like end up at Pittsburgh...

fuel to the fire fellas..if you catch my drift

Pro,

Couple quick questions:

1) Any speculation or rumors on the possibility of the Cowboys moving up in the first round?

2) Have they expressed any interest in drafting a kicker or do they feel comfortable with who is already here?

3) Have you heard any news of trading players for picks or other players?

Wow I didn't realize Pouncey was that good. I figured he would probably be an early second, very late first at best.

And it seemed we were having a lot of trouble picking up the blitz last year. Was that Gurode's fault? Was he not getting his assignments correct? I remember the knock on him early in his career was that he was a stupid player. Is that still a problem?

Bryan-
*any chance for gaither?
*the safety Otogue (sp) from the rams?

*Whats going on with Sensabaugh & Miles?

Thanks!

Hey, thanks Bryan. I Appreciate the inside insight. I will give up on hoping for the Florida Gator.

I agree with you on Proctor, and I think you are absolutely right. He's going to get Romo killed. Plus, the running game will disappear.

Maybe, they will look at someone like John Jerry for guard.

That backup center spot is scary, imo. In my opinion, they need to upgrade it and do it now.

Thanks, again, for answering my question. I actually talked to an NFL scout. That is pretty cool.

Broadus? Awesome. Love your work and listen to all your podcasts when I can.

If the pick somehow comes down to Earl Thomas, Pouncey, or Iupati who do you think the Cowboys would select between the 3?

Highly unlikely all 3 would be there I know but with the Miami trade up rumors I would think Dallas would move up for one of those 3.

we tried to hit a homerun with broaddus on the first date and he simply wasnt comfortable going that far with us...:)
