I think they blew it big time. I mean, don't they focus group this stuff even a little bit. I hinestly don't think I could have picked a worse tadem on PURPOSE!
Seriously, I love watching football but a pair like that actually makes me not want to watch a game(non Dalllas ofcourse) or atleast do the old NBC Jets-Miami game deal and watch with no sound.

he is pompous, but good. Real Sports is a good show. And the HBO NFL show is good as well. This could be worse.

Real Sports IS a good show... but that doesn't translate to the booth...

Roy Firestone was a "can't miss" prospect in the booth when ESPN got Sunday nights a few years back... he was pompous as well... and he was a disaster...

I really respect objective, thoughtful booth guys, regardless of their affiliation...

I just don't see Gumbel pulling this one off...
