Bryant Gumbel gets worse every week!!!

Tonight he has said on at least three occasions after a failed 3rd down attempt that the team will be turning the ball over on downs. THis guy is the single worst on air personality out there.

I dissagree he is the worst I have ever heard and he says so much crap that proves he knows zero about football. He asked Vermeil is he hated coaching against christian akoya(sp?) when he was with the eagles...Are you friggin kidding me?? that guy is clueless

I don't mind collinsworth and they sub him out on the saturday night games for vermeil and I really like vermeil he offers such an awesome perspective on things football.

I think Collinsworth is a dope but I kinda feel bad for the guy because he has to carry Gumbel the broadcast and doesn't do to bad. But then again, an order of McDonalds French Fries would look good doing the game next to Gumbel.

His nasal voice and miscalls are bad enough but what really bothers me is how he talks to Vermeil. i mean the guy is consistently making bad calls and for him to try an correct Vermeil to the degree that he is is disgusting.

Vermeil has always struck me as a nice guy and i get the impression that he doesnt like Gumbel either.

But I don't watch any game for the outstanding commentary in the first place. I watch the game because of what happens on the field. I could really care less who is in the booth because its not like they are saying anything that the action on the field doesn't say for itself.

Gumbel is a miserable failure in the booth. Yo've got to have some kind of personality to do that kind of work and Gumbel is about as entertaining as a mannequin with a CB duct taped to it's forehead.

Actually a mannequin with a CB duct taped to it's forehead could be pretty entertaining if the right person was talking through it. Gumbel ought to look into that.

That explains why Vermiel got laryngitis last weekend. Somebody from the NFL Network probably planted some posion in Gumbel's water and Dick drank it by accident.

He is hella creepy in the booth when they show him he just stairs at the person he is talking to like an obsessed GF. He is creepy and crappy not a good combo

Gumble sucks. He screwed up numerous times last night. On one play, Reshard Lee actually made a nice blitz pickup, so Vermeil is commenting on it and explaining what a good job Lee did and who he picked up to allow Walter to make the throw.

So as soon as Vermeil's dialog ends, Gumball pipes up (obviously without having listened to a word Vermeil said) "Nice blocking by Zack Crockett." Funny part is, Crockett wasn't even on the field during the play.
