Lil' Irvin in that regard. I like it!The good thing is that Bryant is not complacent. He has been reportedly staying after practice for extra work and jug machine.

I have actually. Too bad that backup QB has never really been good at anything on the NFL level. Ha!Have you heard the story some backup QB (Garrett?) tells about how Irvin used to make him stay after practice and throw him hundreds of balls? One day Irvin was sick but wanted the backup QB to throw to him anyway. After a few routes, Irvin bent over and threw up. Backup QB thought "thank God I don't have to do this today." Irvin said "where you going?" wiped his mouth, got back on the line of scrimmage and kept going.
There are very few, if any, Lil' Irvin's out there in the NFL.
Pre-season games don't mean jack to most if the team looks bad. If they look good then that is a harbinger of good times to come. Why is it that in these early practices if a guy is dinged up or looks rusty its always no big deal. Yet mention that a guy looks good on a play or two and all of a sudden he is going to have a great year or the rookie is going to have an impact?
Either these practices dont mean jack or they do. Cant have it both ways. Personally I think they dont mean jack unless its injury related.
