That would be interesting around here. If they finished 10-6 and didn't make the playoffs, would that be a successful year? I heard a lot of 6-10 predictions before the season.

Being that I saw this as 8-8 at best , YES, I Would consider this a success as it is a step in the right direction ,
And a break in our overall w/l pattern

It would pretty obviously be a successful year, but the Garrett haters would use it to fuel their rage when Garrett is inevitably extended. Probably complain about him icing the kicker, or some other imaginary concept.

Losers try to excuse failure all the time

Aww, poor visionary troll... Garrett is about to be extended and he's having a nervous breakdown. I wish I could sit down on the couch next to you as Garrett coaches every game for the next half decade and look into your soulless eyes... lol.

Lets say Dallas has clinched the division and their order in the playoffs going into the last game against the Commanders and it won't matter whether they win or lose as it won't change a thing.

Also assume Romo is healthy and hasn't had any further injuries or big hits.

Will Garrett sit him out against the skins?

Today's column in the Blue Star Times:

Dallas enters the stretch run with the NFC East there for the taking. Again. Fourth time’s a charm….?

It’s all so familiar. Cowboys fans have sat tied and blindfolded in darkness for much of the past decade, not knowing when, or how often, a two-by-four to the knees would strike. Football torture can be a cruel, cruel thing.

So forgive our Pavlovian flinch each time someone utters “playoffs” or implications involving January football. Such is the result of the constant hope and disappointment that regurgitated 8-8s brings. Season after season of flawed squads in win-or-go-home finales has calloused and conditioned this fan base to expect the worst. It’s just been too long.

(Good gosh what it must be like to be a Guantanamo Eagles fan.)

Dallas is playing smash mouth football unlike other years and that is a key to winning football games in the run of December,
