The LVE thing is interesting. But four LBs seems light especially if they plan on using Parsons again as a pass rusher at times. Plus, I went back and they never carried less than 5 LBs on their initial 53.

Interesting take on the LB'ers for sure.

Didn't really understand his reasoning on CB's. I don't think Wright has done anything which would worry me about him clearing waivers. On the other hand, they may feel no worthy CB's will be released & might as well keep what you have & know.

Golston is not making this team.

They typically carry 5 DEs. So who is making it over Golston?

Also note, they are playing Golston at DT in certain situations, so he has some value beyond just DE.

EDIT: Totally missed that he didn't have Basham in there. Hmmmmm.

Safety (5)

Jayron Kearse
Malik Hooker
Donovan Wilson
Israel Mukuamu
Markquese Bell

The Cowboys have their three starters at safety, and Israel Mukuamu has stepped his game up this summer. But this safety group, and the decision to go five deep, is why Dallas goes so light at linebacker.

Last year, Jayron Kearse lined up in the box as a de facto linebacker almost as much as he did at safety, which allowed Malik Hooker and Donovan Wilson to see the field more. Undrafted rookie Markquese Bell has been impressing in a similar role this year too. In short, the Cowboys go light at linebacker and deep at safety because they can comfortably play Kearse and Bell in the box if it comes down to it.

I also think i like this

I don’t see the team cutting LVE - who’s looked good by all accounts - for a 4th TE. No way.

Could this be the trickle down effect of crapping the bed with WRs? Could the Cowboys be thinking that their answer to being light on experience at WR is that they'll play way more 12 and 22 personnel groupings? Hence why they might need 4 TEs, instead of 3?

My own opinion would be no. I don’t recall McCarthy or Moore being huge two-TE fans and from what I know of both, they’d prefer three receiver packages. So if it came down to it, I think they would look for an outside receiver over keeping a 4th TE anyway.

I don’t see a scenario where Hendershot is on this roster outside if the practice squad.

Not sure Im on board with all of these especially wolf hunter but Im on board with saying bye to ball and Im not sure Id keep Wright
meh...not sure we go with 4 LBs, that's a little thin. I expect one or two of the DL men to be traded, perhaps to get a better swing tackle. why go 4 deep at TE? not sure if Wilson survice at saftey, specially if we go 6 deep at CB. and goodwin for special teams!? whhaaatt?

Isnt Waletzo out for the season? i read he was having shoulder surgery.overall this projection is not great.i still think they will add some guys from FA or trade and i dont see Gallup missing 4 games or LVE cut.
