Has the clock struck twelve on the Cinderella-story that is Dak Prescott?

There are a lot of reasons to be excited about this Dallas Cowboys football team. Sure, fans want results and they want them now. That’s something that’s never going to change, but patience has led to the building of a football team that has a lot of good pieces that can help them contend for years. The defensive line is on the rise with the emergence of DeMarcus Lawrence and several other young, hungry edge rushers. The linebacker group has a couple young talents to mix in with aging-yet-still-breathing Sean Lee. And the secondary is filled with young talent that gets better by the day. Whether we completely trust it or not, this Cowboys defense is getting stronger and stronger.

Then there is the offense. While the offensive line is enduring some growing pains due to some new faces in new places, this is still a strong unit. We don’t know what is going to happen with Travis Frederick exactly, but the hope is that he eventually returns and that the line improves. Rookie Connor Williams should improve as well. The offense still has one of the games most explosive running backs in Ezekiel Elliott. And while there are still plenty of questions when it comes to the wide receivers and tight ends, this is still an offense that can be good as long as they have a quality performance from one guy - Dak Prescott.

It should not be surprising that the play of a team’s quarterback is such a huge factor in determining their success. Sure, it’s just one guy, but it’s an important guy.

Huge article. good read. not your typical Dak read
I read that only it was on blogging the boys, com.
It had the charts, and if dak avg less than 7 yard pre att they lose.
last game was 5.87 per att.

although it wasnt mentioned , the run game and how cowboys use and call that is also a big factor.
last game EE had 15 carries and that is just way too low.

Yes, it was too low. Carolina was stacking the box and Dak never made them pay for it and back off.

what is the one sign of a great QB-----Confidence.
Holding on to the ball far too long and over thinking the moment
go play the game Dak. Hit some shots build your confidence get in the zone
just do it

Has anyone thought that maybe them not hiring a real QB coach with some QB coaching experience might be one of the problems?
Doesnt have the tools! When he doesnt have time to set his feet his arm is very weak.

Dak has a favorite comfort zone and its between the numbers and 10 yards. Defenses have decided to crowd that area and Dak doesnt see the field very well outside of that.
At this point right now defenses would be much more afraid of Brandon Weeden and that is pathetic. If Dak plays the first half against the Giants like he did Carolina I hope he gets benched for Mike White!

Exactly right. He had the same issues last year, and to some degree, even in 2016. The quarterbacks coach isn't the cause, but they aren't the solution either.
Dak's talent ceiling has been exposed. I am seriously advocating a trade for Brissett, he is all that Dak is suppose to be, big, mobile, stronger arm, not afraid to go downfield, done way more with less last year filling in for Luck.

Word is that the Colts have no interest in trading him.
