Lack of Romo makes a huge difference here, he was extraordinary on 3rd and short last year, that definitely helps the run game.
I agree Romo has helped immensely and his production is missed.
But we can't discount the fact Murray played a big part in that as well. When the defense doesn't know if we're passing or running the ball in 3rd and short they are at a disadvantage. It made Romo's job easier.
Unfortunately, that advantage is no longer there. That's because we're back to the to the same ole' predictable playbook given to us by Garrett.
The element of surprise is no longer there and that we keep doing the same plays over and over expecting different results. That's a sign of insanity.
Heck, the play that got Romo injured was a predictable passing situation. Just by looking at our formation then. The Eagles knew we were passing. And with no blockers in the backfield Romo was as good as dead. That's predictability for you and it's killing this team.
