Last I seen Elliot was projected mid first round.
And yes, no way should Dallas go RB in top 5 or top 8. If they want Elliot, trade down.
And I would love Elliot in the first round, regardless of history. But only if we get him around 15th or so in a trade down. And we pick up an extra 2nd round pick. Possibly a 4th too. I need to look at trade value charts.

But I am maintaining we get a QB in Lynch or Goff. The heck with the first player being a starter impact. A franchise QB will be much more of a long term impact than a LB or whatever.

Bro, a franchise QB is not drafted. How many franchise or supposedly franchise QBs have busted, I know you have seen it too many time, Goff should be legit, but Lynch will not be a legit NFL QB, I predict he will be done in the NFL in 5yrs especially if he is drafted and is a starter immediately, but I can say he could be a backup for some good years, but he is not the real deal. People are focused on his size an arm strength and his running ability, he is not a very smart kid, I have watched him and he is not it. We do not need to put him on the board at all

The Best QB that is NFL ready coming out will be Hogan from Stanford, he can read defense has run and NFL offense for 5yrs, because that is what Stanford runs, he has mobility, an arm, he accurate he has size and he is very intelligent. he will be there in the 2nd/3rd, maybe even 4th, but I would not wait to long, oh he is a proven winner. Elliot is a necessity, he will impact the offense immediately. Henry will not be very good in the NFL, that will be another RB from Alabama that will bust

Hogan is currently ranked the 10th best QB and a 5th or 6th round pick. And the 182nd pick overall.

See my other post on Hogan, Goff and Lynch and quite a few others would be better than Hogan at this point.

Those rankings are just like stats, they can be made to make a player look good or bad. Hogan is not the 10th best QB. That is a fact! The only QB that may be better is Goff, but I am willing to bet if you put Hogan and Goff on a team right now in the NFL Hogan would do better because he has a jump on reading the coverages/defenses. Goff will or should be good but Hogan has a jump on them. Those rankings are garbage. do not buy into them, how many times have you seen guys ranked low and have become HOFers all stars pro bowlers, and how many have you seen that were ranked high and just flat out did nothing. Be honest. I never pay any attention to those rankings never.

Are you a Stanford fan?
I am an Ohio State Fan but is sure don't want Cardale Jones as a QB. And he is rated higher than Hogan....and yes those rankings do mean something. To you, they may not,,to most they do.
Someone needs to have an agenda to use stats to their thinking.
I never heard rankings of college players made,to sway people's opinions. That is an extreme stretch.

Guess you are going to run Hogan up our butts like Floaty did with Kellen Moore. lol...
I am not against Hogan, I just prefer a QB in rounds 1 or 2. But if they select a QB in the later rounds, I most likely will support that pick. If that player is Hogan, then good, hope they hit on him to take over in a few years as the franchise QB.

a franchise QB is groomed not drafted

Not this decade they aren't.
Eli, Payton, Brees, Big Ben, Wilson, Luck, Cam all started day 1. Even Joe Flacco.

What franchise QB was developed? You mean Rodgers who was a luxury pick and sat behind a Hall of Famer? Brady who was a 5th round pick and playing behind a SB QB that has been picked 1 overall? Or Romo who was an UDFA??

If a team believes they have a franchise QB in any shape or form he plays. The ONLY exception was Rodgers who was sitting behind Favre.

If Dallas gets Goff he likely sits a year or so but it won't be long even if Tony stays healthy.

Add Andy Dalton to that list too. He has the Bengals in the playoffs again.

I am straight , I do not run anything up anyone's butt, I do not even play those type of games, so you can call me one of those whatever you call people that does not like nor accept that rainbow way of thinking.
Those rankings are garbage, I am Notre Dame, Nebraska and Texas fan. But Hogan is better than anyone you keep naming save Goff, but I am willing to put him up against Goff in a winner take all one game as they are stepping into the NFL leading a team right now. Hogan's team would win easily.

Cardale Jones is garbage, he is another Jamarcus Russell all size big arm no smarts at all. You keep believing those rankings, they will fail you everytime. Yeah those ranking sway people all the time , just look in the mirror. LOL

LOL, dude those guys started because they had to, but while they were starting they were being groomed! You just dismissed all the mistakes they had just like that. c'mon man. I know you know football better than that., Eli (who is the luckiest QB in the league, really he is a scrub, bad choice there, anyway he has been groomed since he started football, the same for his brother peyton. Brees are you serious, Brees sat a little before he played maybe not years but he sat and he made his mistakes when he got in there. Big Ben and the steelers had defense and a running game that helps a rookie QB tremendously and they ran the ball while they groomed Ben in his first season and second, he is not the focal point of the team. Wilson got the same thing as big ben, he had/has defense and running game that is the forefront, now since Lynch is out everyone see that he can carry the team, wait hold on, all those QBs came from colleges that ran a pro style offense in college except Cam and he is still trying to learn to read defenses. Yes they were GROOMED!!!

I will say it again, franchise QBs are not drafted they are groomed, whether they start immediately or not, they are still groomed and some make it to become successful and some do not. You have got to be kidding me with this stuff right?
