Street is considered a bargain as a fifth-round pick, a little lower than where he was projected to go. The Cowboys had a third-round grade on him according to post-draft reports. Street was a very accomplished prospect at Pittsburgh, rated as a very good route-runner and a guy with tremendous hands. He has the size the Cowboys like in their receivers (6' 3", 200 lbs.). The negatives tend to be around his physicality and the fact that he could add some bulk to avoid getting pushed around by defenders, and he's not a burner or particularly quick. He's a long-strider who builds up to speed.

He's angling to be the number three receiver on the team, a position tenuously held by Cole Beasley from last season. Beasley is a sneaky quick slot guy who did a good job in a limited role last year. Street will likely be tabbed to play outside, but receivers coach Derek Dooley believes he has the ability to play in the slot, too.

The Cowboys have yet to sign Zack Martin, DeMarcus Lawrence or Anthony Hitchens.
