"Don’t think for one minute we’re scared," Cowboys defensive tackle Jason Hatcher said. "We ain’t scared of nobody. I don’t really care who it is. They’re going to make plays. Any team can make plays against you."

"He can be beat," Hatcher said. "But at the same time, you have to respect a guy like that. He’s probably one of the best. When he leaves this game, he’ll be the greatest who ever did it, so of course you respect him. You see what he does week in and week out. We have our work cut out for us. We’re excited about the challenge. I know I am. I enjoy playing against a guy like that."

The Broncos are aware that the Cowboys defense is ranked third in the NFL in sacks and rushing yards allowed, and are preparing accordingly.

In a conference call with the Denver media Tony Romo hinted that he'd made some changes to his throwing motion that have made a big difference in his game this year.

"Well, I think I'm doing a couple of things different, a couple of things I worked on this offseason that have allowed certain things in different situations to be a little bit easier," Romo said when asked about the difference in his game from last year to this year. "I found something pretty important, I think, in the throwing motion that's allowed me to throw from a little bit different position. That's calmed certain things down. I think a lot of things go into play. We're getting good offensive line play. A lot of different things come into play with that stuff."

The Cowboys know that they have to get pressure on Manning if they don't want to be at the receiving end of the fifth Denver blowout in as many games.

"It starts up front," Garrett said. "We didn’t get to Philip Rivers enough. We did not make him uncomfortable. We did a good job in the first three games making the quarterback’s job hard, hitting him, getting him off the spot. We didn’t do that last week. We have to do it this week."

But will the Cowboys be up to the task? Peyton Manning is taking nothing for granted.

"It’s going to be a tough bunch, and it’s going to be a real challenge," Manning said. "This is an unfamiliar opponent. It’s still early in the season, so there’s still some what-ifs."

Claiborne has received a lot of criticism over the past few days, especially about his lack of confidence, but he isn't letting it affect him.

"I don't know why everybody keeps saying that," Claiborne said at the Cowboys' Valley Ranch practice facility. "It's just one of those things. Guys catch balls in the NFL every day. It's just the way you take it. You have to bounce back and keep playing."

Scandrick can relate to Claiborne's struggles and has some encouraging words.

"He’s going through a rough patch in his career, but I’m so confident in him and I continue to talk to him," Scandrick said. "I think his talent is too good for him not to mature … I support him all the way and I’m confident in him."
