I did not have time to be precise but the point was why was the TE on the left for most of those plays?
Because we run an offense that uses the TE, and even the two TE position alot. Either Witten or Bennett will be lined up next to Flozell Adams 40+% of the time in the regular season as well. Does that imply to you that we don't trust Flozell Adams?

And if the guy he was on was a third rd draft choice that means he has potential but that is about it. Just like Butler who gave Free a lot of trouble. I noticed that your commentary said the guy basically quit on some plays. So lets be brutally frank here: he did not face off with anyone that we know is any good at all.
I never saw Free quit on any play, when I rewatched the game focusing on him. I am not sure what the blogger was looking at to say that he quit on the plays, I certainly never saw it.

I kind of wish he had been going against Ellis- that would have been interesting and more informative. BUT anyone saying Free proved anything of consequence against Oakland is full of it.
Yes, going up against Ellis would have been informative, but then again there are alot on this board that would still say that Free was terrible, if he stoned Ellis on ever play, and pancaked him 5 times..... No, Free did prove something against Oakland, he proved that his good camp was not just talk. He also proved that he does still have a chance to develop into a good OL, and he proved that he is someone we need to keep and eye on. That is all any young prospect can prove in a single game, no matter who it is against.

Now against the Ravens we should learn a LOT more. I can say that there is hope Free has something now- I really did not think so at all before this game.
Sorry I did not reply right away but I fell asleep.
The Titans will be a good test as well, the Titans always have a good DL, and Fischer can sure coach the defense.
