BTB: EZ expected to make a huge 2026 leap

Hype train working overtime.
Who was that hype by expecting improvement No one's saying largely no one's saying this dude's going to have 14 sacks If he can come away with six to 7 sacks that would be a leap It'll be a solid season for a young player... Not much the same way people talked about Tank Y'all rode him off too many injuries can't get to the quarterback blah blah blah and you know what happened He turned into a really good NFL player on the other side of some of those great pass rushers He was the more complete player low sack total but did everything else right...

The bad thing about expectations is they often don't get met. So, I'm not getting mine up for EZ. Then maybe I will be either pleasantly surprised or continue to be blissful with the status quo.

I won't judge him too harshly based on last years defense, because it was such a fiasco, but I don't see the hype at all.

They put all those sack totals on him like 6-10…kind of what James Pearce did. Didn’t sniff that. But for me I was more scared about his rush defense and he proved to either get better or be better than expected. He has enough pass rush moves for me to be optimistic the sacks will come. I expect the 6-10 range this year. I need him to continue to be solid against the run.
Why are you so selfish? I think we ALL need him to continue and be solid against the run. Lol

I expect 6 to 10. Considering that he had two as a rookie, I think that's more reasonable. Would love for him to explode, though.
Another thing to consider is that Eze was a “sacks in bunches” guy in college. In his final college season, he had 4 games with no sacks, but 6 games with 2+ sacks.

VERY high hope of Eze this year.

Maing thing people need to remember is Ezeiruaku played much of the season with a torn hip labrum. All fixed now.
Sam Williams was healthy. Why did dumb Eberflunk keep Sam Williams on the bench while starting/playing eZe most of the season with a torn hip labrum? Talk about redefining the definition of stupid and favoritism. So glad that loser is out of here.

I know it’s probably not true but it just felt like Eberpuss was trying to sabotage us. He may have been mad that we got rid of Micah and said *** it.

That honestly did cross my mind. Mind-boggling how poor Eberflunk performed as D-Coordinator and the player and calls he made. Should have been fired halfway through the season. He literally cost us the season last year.

Well it needs a very big jump for him to be medicore at least.

Hope dies at last. But it dies.
You’re acting as if he’s a ten year vet. Considering he was a rookie and played with an injury, he did fine and showed a lot of potential.
