Dallas reports that Texas A&M outside linebacker Von Miller is scheduled to visit Valley Ranch on April 15. As a graduate of DeSoto High School, Miller does not count against the Cowboys quota of 30 national draft prospects that they can bring in for pre-draft visits.

Miller could come in during the "Dallas Days" that the Cowboys conduct annually for local, draft eligible prospects from colleges and high schools within the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Prospects from SMU and TCU would also fall under the 'local' category, as would graduates of local high schools like DeSoto, Southlake Caroll, Plano West, Kimball, Irving, Rowlett, Coppell and others. The "Dallas Days" delivered their share of Cowboys players in the past, with the likes of Patrick Crayton, Brandon Williams, Jacques Reeves, Stephen Hodge and most recently Bryan McCann and Dez Bryant.

Offensive guard Will Rackley also confirmed he has an invitation to Valley Ranch. The Lehigh graduate and offensive team captain played left tackle in college but projects as a guard in the NFL. His versatility has intrigued a lot of teams, and according to Draftace.com, he has visits lined up with the Browns, Cowboys, Rams, Chiefs, Dolphins, Lions, Jaguars, Patriots and Jets so far, which could see him going in the top 100 of the draft.

CBSsports ranks him as the fifth best guard, Wes Bunting...

I thought Von Miller had effectively withdrawn his name by participating in the law suit. Is he still going about business as usual?

I would bring Miller in with everyone else, then let him sit in the office while everyone else works out. :muttley:

Idkkk Von Miller is kinda ruined in my eyes. Its clear where his true loyalty is and that may come back to haunt the cowboys

I'm glad he joined, hopefully he slides right down to pick #9. :laugh2:

I wouldn't mind Von Miller. Not at all. But I still hope we can take a swing at Patrick Peterson. That one's going to be tough. But getting back to Von. Who does he remind you of?

I keep going back to Bart Scott. Don't know why. Can anyone else give me a player that Von Miller reminds you of?

How about someone like Terrell Suggs?

Brian Orakpo. Little smaller, but faster and more agile.

Terrell Suggs is another comparison but Terrell is even bigger than Orakpo. Fast but still slower than the other too.

I wonder if Von Miller will whine to the media about this. Be careful, guys; he might sue you.

Von Miller just wreaks of bust.

Personally I like the odds of Peterson sliding to within reach or one of the DL prospects falling. Cam Jordan or Prince would really irk me considering both of them would've been late 1st to early 2nd round choices in last years draft. This draft has 7-8 impact guys then it drops off significantly.

Well at least Von Miller gets his wish of meeting with the Cowboys that he didn't get at the combine.

In a not really related note...is Stephen Hodge still even with the team? I haven't been keeping track.

Who? :laugh2: Man that draft was one for the ages.

I know what you mean... but there is a LOT of talent there... I don't think he'll ever be a run of the mill guy...

He's boom or bust...

Von Miller is about as proven of a 3-4 OLB as you'll ever find coming out of college, considering he actually played 3-4 OLB in college in a system that was patterned after Dick LeBeau. Most of the time you're drafting some undersized 4-3 DE and trying to project how they'll do in space in a 2 point stance. You don't have to project anything on Miller, it's all right there on tape and the tape shows 27 sacks in the last two years. Running 4.4+ and jumping 37 verts at 246 lbs? Yes, please.

If we are sitting at #9 and Miller is on the board, and no one calls to trade you have to take him. He'll most likely be the BPA.

Rob could have a lot of fun with the likes of Miller, Ware, Spencer, and Butler.

Again, you can never have enough pass rushers in this league! Everybody thinks we are set there, but you have to keep reloading. AKA NY Giants.

Good gosh that would be an athletic bunch...
