If you were worried too many people were pushing the Cowboys as NFC East favorites, worry no more.

Football Outsiders recently predicted the Cowboys would have the fourth-best record in the NFL this year, and win the NFC East.

Every single sports betting site currently has the Cowboys with the best odds of winning the NFC East.

ESPN's Sports Analytics team calculated its initial Football Power Index rankings for 2017 a while back and has the Cowboys ranked at No. 6 overall and taking the NFC East.

All of that positivity about the Cowboys may have left you feeling a bit worried that too many people were pushing the Cowboys as NFC East favorites.

Well, worry no more, because the analysts at NFL.com have taken it upon themselves to remedy that in one fell swoop.

15 NFL.com analysts published their predictions for the NFC East, ranging from the ridiculous to the sublime, 14 of them have the Cowboys missing out on the division title.

The Giants were picked to win the division ten times despite the lack of an NFL-quality O-line and the lack of an NFL-quality starting quarterback.

The Eagles were picked four times, with Steve Wyche offering a nice example of fan-fiction writing (“Carson Wentz looks like the real deal”).

The Commanders weren't picked a single time. Coming just two months after NFL.com offered a vanity license plate with the outline of the state of Washington, the Commanders may have to remind NFL.com that if you're going to have an East Coast bias, you've got to include the Nation's capitol (reminder: it's on the East Coast).

The sole analyst picking the Cowboys was Adam Rank:

No Zeke, no problem with this offensive line, as Dak Prescott emerges as a true leader.

Cowboys fans may find some comfort in that five of the writers are picking the Cowboys to at least secure a wildcard berth, but that still leaves nine analysts who don't think the Cowboys will make the playoffs at all this year.

Of course, there's an easy way to fix all this.

First we take the Giants, then we take the East.

They do not know anything more than you and me. I give them no credence at all.
