He was the best player of the HOF game? yay.
It is the only game they have had a chance to play in.

Okay... Look, let me just say if he does great: Super-Great!It is the only game they have had a chance to play in.

I ain't eating the chow being put in front of me on this guy yet, though. HOF games are just about meaningless.
If there are some of you poo-pooing Taco's performance in it, and others are rationalizing that, why shouldn't I be the devil's advocate on this dude Neal?
HOF game yo. Meaningless scrimmage with backup players trying new things against backup players.
Excuse me for not getting my heart a-flutter on either side of the spectrum.
All I'm saying is that the HOF game is not a game. It's where backup players get a chance to show off and practice their newfound learning and working within what the coaches want.I think I liked you better two weeks ago.
I guess I just don't get the poo pooing of players in the only chance we have had to see them going against other players in live situations. I don't think anyone makes the leap of faith that because a guy played well in preseason he is gonna be a Pro Bowler. It is nice to actually see these guys and compare them to what we have been hearing.
Early on Broaddus was really talking up Lotulelei. In the game he didn't really do much of note. He didn't meat expectations. We have heard some reports of Neal flashing some pass rush ability. When we actually see him in some action and he does just that we feel like it is a positive. There were a lot of players that we did see match the talk coming into the game. Some that haven't been producing that really didn't show much. And some that maybe made themselves a little more known going into preseason wk 1 like Jones and Gilchrist on defense and MOrris, SMith, Rush and a couple others of offense.
If he doesnt have the season the team wants he can be a jun1 cut next yr spliting 7.3mil in 2018 and 2019. Or if Irving is the real deal and he light it up this yr. Cutting him next yr only saves 5.5mil, releasing him in 2019 in junes saves the cowboys 8mil.I'm pretty sure Crawford likes it a LOT better on the edge, rather than fighting the plug uglies in the middle.
Sure would be nice to see this old boy come through this season, for a WHOLE season.
How many years left does he have on his contract?
You're right. And when you're right, you're right. And you're right...If he doesnt have the season the team wants he can be a jun1 cut next yr spliting 7.3mil in 2018 and 2019. Most logical answer is he playes out his contract to 2020. and 2021 he's a FA
