There are a lot of issues across the OL, injuries, lack of depth, execution, but how much is coaching and scheme adding to the issue? We haven't added significant pieces, why aren't they jelling, why isn't there better consistency?

"But personnel moves aside, the real beef here is that the guys we have don’t seem to be executing. And with an All-Pro fixture in Zack Martin, a rising one in Tyler Smith, and a Pro Bowl center in Tyler Biadasz, the talent is there. Even if Tyron and Steele are not themselves due to health, it doesn’t explain the problems across the board.

So again, we come back to the coaches. Much like we saw in 2020 with the defense under Mike Nolan, McCarthy brought in guys who don’t seem to know our players or how best to use them. Solari once coached under Tom Landry, that’s a different era. And while Schottenheimer did some solid work recently with Seattle, he’s been bouncing around the league with a poor reputation for most of his coaching career."

I agree. Everyone is quick to climb all over Dak and Tony Pollard, but no quarterback or running back it's going to have a lot of success against stiff competition when your offensive line is underperforming the way ours is at the moment. The right side has really been horrible, it might be time to cut snaps or sit someone down.

Tyron allowed no pressures in 57 snaps on Sunday. He’s fine and certainly better than anyone we could replace him with. Steele is the weak link. He allowed 12 pressures Sunday.

Steele was definitely the weak link, but still doesn't explain the poor run-blocking along the whole OL, not just in this past game....... every game. This unit should be much better in run blocking than they have showed this season.

Shouldn't the FO and head coach have known this before the draft? Shouldn't they have known about Steele's flaws before paying him? He's not been the same since his injury.
Probably should have Tyron as swing tackle, he could have played RT while Steele recovers. Tyler out to LT and drafted/traded for or signed a LG. That 2nd rd pick for another TE looks worse every day.

Their redzone success this year has been dismal. The Cowboys can't win against good teams when not scoring in the redzone, period.
Just look at all our short yardage plays, we struggle to get those 1 or two yards, that's not a QB/RB problem that's an OL problem.

The amateur GM is to blame for the offensive line. It was a glaring weakness that was not addressed. Dallas needs professional GM that is held accountable.

I was pleasantly surprised how Tyron playedI didnt expect that. Now ill be pleasantly surprised if he plays against the giants. Steele and the center is weak at the point of attack so if either end gets beat steppimng up in the pocket is not an option as the pocket is collapsed.

Really hard for 5 OL to block 7 man fronts, team are playing the run D to make Dak beat them and he can't bc he's not accurate and has trouble reading Defense, in the Philly game he had 5 times different wide open WRs the could have been 3 TDs but he didn't make the right reads so there you have it

I definitely agree that the OL is not working right now. The run blocking is horrible, even though Tyron and Tyler Smith are both having good years. Biadasz and Martin are not and neither is Steele? Where are the double team blocks? Why can't they move anyone out of the hole to create some running room?

I would definitely look at the new OL coach and what he is doing with these players.

But also, it seems like every time we get a good run, it is called back for holding or some other stupid penalty.
