..switch out, Chazz Steele and give Richards some reps. Or damn, get someone from another team.

Save the season.

I still don’t get Mike letting go of his old pal Philbin for Solari. Especially since he was taking over the offense. Philbin did way better than most give him credit for. He developed everyone basically.

My thought is Solari is the problem, even though TP has lost speed. You can see it clear as day.

Rico, in limited touches, is still averaging less than Pollard. The holes and creases aren't there consistently enough.
Dowdle got only got 2 carries -- 4 less than Prescott did in his 6 times scrambling out of the pocket.
Don't know how anyone expects the RB to produce if he can't get significantly more opportunities than that.

There are a lot of issues across the OL, injuries, lack of depth, execution, but how much is coaching and scheme adding to the issue? We haven't added significant pieces, why aren't they jelling, why isn't there better consistency?

"But personnel moves aside, the real beef here is that the guys we have don’t seem to be executing. And with an All-Pro fixture in Zack Martin, a rising one in Tyler Smith, and a Pro Bowl center in Tyler Biadasz, the talent is there. Even if Tyron and Steele are not themselves due to health, it doesn’t explain the problems across the board.

So again, we come back to the coaches. Much like we saw in 2020 with the defense under Mike Nolan, McCarthy brought in guys who don’t seem to know our players or how best to use them. Solari once coached under Tom Landry, that’s a different era. And while Schottenheimer did some solid work recently with Seattle, he’s been bouncing around the league with a poor reputation for most of his coaching career."

The depth isn't the problem.

The depth has performed very well, as it has been called upon many times this year without real issue.

Steele has been a huge problem lately and Biadaz hasn't been great either. When Tyron plays he is very very good, but that is the problem. Doesn't play due to a hangnail...

In the meantime, O'Cyrus Torrence has started all nine games for Buffalo, played 592 snaps, has four penalties and one sack against him. His overall grade is average for the position, but he's a rookie and looks like he will develop into a solid starter at minimum. Would you trade our 2nd round TE for him right now?

Shouldn't the FO and head coach have known this before the draft? Shouldn't they have known about Steele's flaws before paying him? He's not been the same since his injury.
The FO (headed by Jerry) is almost always a few steps behind and reactionary way after the fact has been known to everyone and their mother.

Just an aside, but Joe Burrow would have killed to have had this offensive line in front of him in 2021 when he led the league in sacks with 51 but still took his team to Super Bowl LVI.

Spin away……..

Rico on limited carries, 38 on the season at 3.8 avg.
Pollard has only had 2 games with more than 15 carries in a game all year. 120 carries 4.0 avg

For a team, according to MM, that wanted to run the ball, they did a poor job of building/coaching the OL.

That was such an obvious pick in round two. Lots of scouting reports had a first round grade on him, and he fell right into our laps. Significant need at the position too.

The GM had already decided he was going to take a TE in that slot, come hell or high water. Never-mind the best ones were long gone.

It is what it is:

LT - Tyron- decent enough when he actually plays but no longer dominant.

LG- Tyler- Stud

C- Tyler B. Above average but certainly nothing special.

RG - Zack- glory days are long gone. Still a good guard but not sure his great anymore. Not even the best guard on his own team.

RT - Steele - always a poor pass blocker but has gotten worse. And he isn’t getting movement in the run game. We can only hope he improves as the knee gets stronger. Until then we are stuck with another cap boy special contract where he thinks he is outsmarting everyone

I've been saying it for years now. Our Oline sucks, and the various Oline coaches brought in have sucked even more. Fix our Oline coaching, plus our Oline, everyone will see our playmakers like Dak, Pollard, CeeDee, etc perform even better and actually get this Offense to close out games with wins.

At this point, I don't see that happening.

I think the # of pressures and sacks the o-line has given up tells the story. They’re not very good. At least not from C to RT and yes that includes Zack. And this is defending any of Dak’s shortcomings but rather pointing out the lines inefficiency.
Its run blocking as a whole, OL is not doing any favors to any RB
