There are a lot of issues across the OL, injuries, lack of depth, execution, but how much is coaching and scheme adding to the issue? We haven't added significant pieces, why aren't they jelling, why isn't there better consistency?

"But personnel moves aside, the real beef here is that the guys we have don’t seem to be executing. And with an All-Pro fixture in Zack Martin, a rising one in Tyler Smith, and a Pro Bowl center in Tyler Biadasz, the talent is there. Even if Tyron and Steele are not themselves due to health, it doesn’t explain the problems across the board.

So again, we come back to the coaches. Much like we saw in 2020 with the defense under Mike Nolan, McCarthy brought in guys who don’t seem to know our players or how best to use them. Solari once coached under Tom Landry, that’s a different era. And while Schottenheimer did some solid work recently with Seattle, he’s been bouncing around the league with a poor reputation for most of his coaching career."

Should been looking to build the trenches in past drafts, instead of reaching for needs with 5th round calibre TE in the 2nd round, or running backs or LBers in round 1 over the years.

At least Mazi... even though he is currently trending towards being a bust, was the right thought process of building the trenches.

Steele was definitely the weak link, but still doesn't explain the poor run-blocking along the whole OL, not just in this past game....... every game. This unit should be much better in run blocking than they have showed this season.
Correct, but I think the run game is 50/50 on blocking and forcing Pollard who has lost a step due to injury. Rico looks to be able to do more with less in his limited snaps (I guess maybe his pass protection is not there, or perhaps just money gets on the field).

Tyler biadaz is not a pro bowl center. I dk t care if it official. There’s at least 5 centers that didn’t make the pro bowl that would be an upgrade over him

We have a poor stable of running backs. Pollard is not the guy he was before the injury.

They aren't the only ones, and aren't even the biggest culprits.

Yeah to “not a Pro Bowl center” but no chance he is as stated below not far behind Steele As a weak link this year. Steele has been horrible and Biadasz is “ok”. I like the kid but I’m almost disappointed Biadasz made the Pro Bowl because the ones who just follow the ball during games and go by what the announcers say actually think he is a Pro Bowl caliber player. I root for him and love the nasty streak he developed this year (let me stress that, I really like the nasty streak he developed this year) and understand you aren’t going to have stars at every position but he is pretty much average.

Biadasz isn't far behind Steele as a weak link....

Jerra is not worried about the oline, he's looking for a receiver. (dumb GM).

I like what the article said. They’re not jelling. It’s like they’re playing as 5 individuals and not as one offensive line. I think it’s coaching.

Let me translate this for you:

Dez? Gone
Cole Beasely? Gone
Amari? Gone
Zeke? Gone
Linehan, Garrett, Kellen Moore? All gone.

BTB: Is there anyone else left we can sacrifice on Dak's altar?

Answer: O line, it's your turn in the barrel boys.

Well dam, I was told Kellen Moore was holding them back….wish our experts would make up they minds
IT's kind of like a repair guy who keeps throwing crap at the wall hoping something will stick, and finally ends up stumbling across and fixing the actual problem but he goes through 5 or 6 other non problems before he gets there.

eventually they'll have to fix the real problem
but they are going to exhaust every other potential scapegoat before they do.

O linemen don't sell jerseys.
Dak does.

that's enough for Jerry, for now.

I think the # of pressures and sacks the o-line has given up tells the story. They’re not very good. At least not from C to RT and yes that includes Zack. And this is defending any of Dak’s shortcomings but rather pointing out the lines inefficiency.

There are a couple decent O-linemen when healthy but the overall group is "trash". 2/5 ain't good.

Rico, in limited touches, is still averaging less than Pollard. The holes and creases aren't there consistently enough.

Biadasz is average, not great, but not bad either. He's got Tyler and Zach on either side, we should be able to move some people off the line in the middle, but it ain't happening.
