"All the team's efforts have been going towards this offense for the last several years, at the expense of the defense."

Yea, okay buddy. Go back and recount how many draft picks and salary cap dollars we've spent on the defense over the last several years and then try saying that with a straight face.

I'm done feeding this troll now. Good day.
You don't think we could have used three first round picks in the D-Line instead of the O-Line, where we never had any, ever when Troy and Emmitt were stars?

C'mon now. "Romo friendly" isn't my term, it's Jerry's.

My post was only to put the past into perspective and provide some background information that could be useful in future comparisons.

I was following up on what you had posted...not directing my comment at you.

That's called a discussion, you know...

Best option for 8-8.... Just like when he's not in there, still playing .500 ball. Almost like he really makes no difference. For 55 million we get coin toss odds. And the worst defense ever because everything's going towards making the offense more "Romo friendly." We need to get off the crack.

so how do those 20 year old playboys do as inspiration down in that basement?

Actually, we've somehow managed to get .500 ball with him or without him. When he's been out, .500 ball still.

I'd really like to see us do completely without him for a full season so we can put this little canard to bed once and for all.

Another lie. In Tonys career, the record is way worse in total in games that he didn't play in.

8 years
128 games total

Record with Romo is 63-45
Record without Romo is 9-11

And that is taking away the Giants game that they were leading in when he got hurt, but then lost.
Otherwise
64-44
8-12

But now that we have a better line again, it does look better for. Who is next in line

If someone needs to be told a 30 something QB is never going to the same following back surgery, I wonder how intelligent they are.

I'm trying to make sense of this. What does one surgery have to do with another?

Or is this just some Go Cowboys type stuff?

Two different surgeries.

And who thinks Manning will play more than another year or two?

Romo is on the same timetable if I am the GM.

One might try getting what is communicated correctly. Third person is non-directive, in the English language, and establishes an observed point.

The continual use of second person, in the English language, conveys accusation...not points.

Now, to additionally infer a mistake in another, when not referencing the third person inclusion of the comments...is completely disjointed and not proof of didly.

Now, if a person WERE to make an accusatory statement, it would therefore go like this: 'You are full of crap.'

No, actually it doesn't. One injury has nothing to do with the other. They're not even to the same area of the body.

Actually, both of their surgeries were on a part of their spine. So they were both back surgeries. Cervical spine surgery for manning and a buldging disc in Romo's in Romo's spine.

I think some reasonable people would agree that making a comparison on the probability of a successful comeback between two people who play the same sport and position would be a sensible way to guess if a comeback may be successful.

Different surgeries to parts if the spine yes. It is a reasonable comparison.

You could reasonably compare a torn acl and torn mcl injury comeback attempts the same way.

I'm kind of inclined to think this may be Peyton's last season. He was talking after the SB about being unsure if he could pass the physical testing on his neck to play this season. I'm saying that but then again he's such a big time player you'd think they would announce that so at every away game that city could give him kudos.

Nonsense. There isn't a surgeon in the world that would look at the history of Manning's type of injury and apply it to Romo and his recovery.

People actually think his back is shredded and it is being covered up, but if anyone has ever had a back injury that is troubling you, you cannot hold your kid without it killing you. In other words, we have photo evidence it is not as bad as people are wringing their hands about.

Surgeons? Maybe not. Sports fans, writers, etc. yes.
A better comparison is Montana. He had the same surgery and recovered well.

The surgeon is the best educated opinion.

We shall see on Romo. I have no idea how he's going to hold up but those that are acting like it's a non issue are once again sticking their head in the sand with this team. 34 and two recent back surgeries. Not good.
