I don't listen in on the folksongs or burn barrel versions of things...from the start.
In The Boys, by Skip Bayless, copyrighted May 1994...
Page 8 - Troy Aikman says many players were near mutinous and not just because of Johnson's strange behavior after the Chicago Bear game. But that he had exploded after three straight games.
Page 9 - For three seasons Johnson had doubted Aikman's delicate confidence and leadership ability, having gone as far as saying, 'Troy Aikman was a loser in college and he'll never be anything but a loser in the Pro's.'
On page xiii of the introduction - Aikman eventually signed a deal on 23 Dec, ('93), for $50 million for eight years. That pleased Troy but further aggravated Emmitt.
I don't make any of what I refer to, up...or go on jargon that has gone on then or now.
Just presenting some of the fact...if that doesn't comply with an agenda, sorry?
