Amen, brother. Great post, Hos. I used to get mad at the bias of ESPN, but hey, I'm used to Berman picking SF and Buf now. I love being the 'dog. Because the underdog is always hungry. And I want our team to be hungry.

I was thinking something similar this morning in the shower.

We haven't been in this position in 11 years. It may be 11 more years before we're here again... though I don't believe it will.

I'm going to enjoy what we've accomplished, and enjoy the day today. It will make it so much more satisfying if I have fun and we win, than if my stomach's in knots and we win.

I have been a cowboys fan since I came to Canada in 77... and saw them beat the broncos in the superbowl that year... every time they play I get the feeling in the pit of my stomach and pre-game becomes what if time... I don't think I would be a fan if I didn't have doubts... all I can say is hurry up 4 pm I want to watch what ever happens...

Go boys

Enjoy this moment fellas (and gals).

Today, we come away with our first playoff victory in over a decade.

We just finished a spectacular 13-3 regular season and will be competing in the NFC Championship game.

I am so proud of this team. And I feel great getting to spend time here with y'all discussing our team.

Get ready.....because today, we arrive.

I think the suject line of this thread says it all..." Buckle Your Chin Strap Cowboys Fans" because I imagine that there will "definitely" be some hard hitting on the field today. Tighten those chin straps a little more than usual today perhaps, eh!

I mentioned this in the NE/Jag game thread last night, but I think there was so many posting in that thread that it went by so fast not many noticed it.

I'm not sure if NFL.com did this last year during the playoffs or not but they provide some live coverage to the games which include stats on: passing rushing recieving kicking defense play-by-play and a whole slew of other game information.

There is also a graphic that is updated live for each teams drive progession.

For a the direct link to the SD/IND coverage Click Here.

When we get to the NYG/DAL game this afternoon this will provide us with some hard facts REALLY worth talking about here.

Soo, at the expense of quoting Hostile "Embrace the Hatred" and with no further ado...

... Bring on the Hostility.

In just a few hours the Pre-game talks will begin in earnest. Instead of being shocked and pissed off when many of the announcers express doubts about the Cowboys, or faith in the Giants; how about you just take a moment to accept the fact that it's going to happen. Iron out your undies so they can't get all in a twist, and relax.

Let me say this so that everyone understands. It does not matter one bit what all of the pundits think about this game. All that matters is that the Cowboys execute their game plan and play to their capabilities. All the negative feedback in the world does not add weight to the shoulders of our players and bog them down. If anything, that stuff is used to inspire the team by the coaches. "Look, no one believes in you."

Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are calling the game today. So the hell what? Turn the sound down please if you really can't stand them. My gosh, it's not rocket science.

You know what really gets me about all the griping about Troy? Every single one of you who complains about him do the exact same thing he does yourself. Don't lie to me, this isn't my first rodeo.

You're going to sit there and tell me that you never swear when Flozell Adams has a false start. That you never say "hang on to the damn ball TO" when he drops one? Seriously? You expect me to buy that?

I will never understand why it is wrong for Troy Aikman to say what he thinks about the flow of the game and the effort on the field; but it is perfectly all right for you guys to have post after post about Roy, Julius, Spears, Carpenter, and whomever else you don't happen to be fond of. You must hate the Dallas Cowboys if you express bad sentiments about any of them.

Think about it for a second before you keep reading. Isn't it the exact same thing?

Let's take a moment to see why the media folk are doubting the Cowboys. It's really quite simple. New York was 3-2 in December with a very close loss to the all mighty Patriots and now has a playoff win on top of this. In most circles that would be called a hot team. Dallas on the other hand failed to show up in their last four games when compared to the rest of their season. 2 wins against non playoff teams and 2 losses, one to a non playoff team. The November Dallas Cowboys became the December Dallas Cowboys and dadgum the media, they noticed. Just like all of us.

Funny how that works.

Stop procrastinating and just Embrace the Hatred already. What are you waiting for? There's no pain involved and it lifts your burdens. Why in the blue hell any of you would want to run around caring about what the naysayers think is beyond me. Especially when every one of us has the same doubts from time to time.

I'm going to keep preaching it until you all are converted to it. Embrace the Hatred is the key to your happiness. There's nothing funnier than jealousy of your football team if you just reach the point where it amuses the hell out of you. I assume you want to be happy. If not, why not just become a Commanders fan? It would simplify your whole effort.

You know what today is? The most important football game this team has played since January 5, 1997. That's 11 years and 8 days folks. We haven't won a post season game since December 28, 1996 when we won in the Wildcard round of the 1996 season. We lost the very next week to the Panthers and have not been back to the Divisional round of the playoffs since that day. We've had 3 consecutive loses in the Wildcard round since that fateful day 11 years ago. Today is important.

Why would you want to waste that importance on what the media thinks and "everyone hates us" complaints. So what if they hate us? So what if they doubt us? Embrace the Hatred and unburden yourself of all that pent up guilt and angst. Enjoy the beautiful game of football for a change.

You know why you should enjoy this game? Because after 11 years of frustration there's a very real chance for relief. Folks, the Giants do not match up well with this team at all. Not only that, but the circumstances and statistics back a Cowboys win today. Think about this folks. The media may be riding the Giants jocks. Las Vegas is not. Smart money is on the Cowboys. You don't need a math class in economics to figure out why. We're the better team. Period.

You'd have better luck sticking out your hand to stop the flow of the mighty Mississippi River than you will have of changing the way the media sees the Cowboys by posting your complaints here.

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now and stop pounding the pulpit. If I cannot get an amen out of you can I at least tell you one thing you ought to pay attention to? How 'bout them Cowboys!

Have fun today Zoners. You've earned the right to enjoy today. It's been a marvelous season full of memories. The payoff is today.

Nice Pre-game thread for the forums Hostile.
