This is what annoys me.
Look I get you don’t want to shell on mad money for Thomas or Collins
But one year, 5 mill for Shaq Barrett? We pass? We need a pass rusher and still pass?
Get out of here man
So did 30 other teams, but man I would've done this instantly. Hell I'd have given $7-$8M for Shaq
Good signing but the Cowboys’s don’t need linebackers.
I guess if they want more than a couple million for one year, we are not interested.
He's an edge rusher. Not off ball LB.
We need edge rushers.
I guess saving that $$$$ for DLaw as well as Dak and Zeke and others.
I just don’t think of 4-3 edge rusher when I see him. He seems more suited for a team in the 3-4.
Fits Todd Bowles 3-4. Like his game since college. DAL probably looking more for more of a 1yr/2.5M deal.
One day people are gonna figure out: Edge is Edge.
You will get Taco Charlton for 16 games and you'll enjoy all three of those sacks.
only thing your getting at that price would be a David Irving.
Most likely wanted to go to a 3-4 team. Same with Markus Golden.
He gets 3-4 sacks a year. We’ve got guys who can do that. Why spend if it isn’t an upgrade, especially on a guy that doesn’t even fit a 4-3 defense?
Except that only applies to the elite talents in this league. You are a edge rusher but you better be able to offer more than just pass rushing ability and 3 sacks a year. And if that’s all you offer? You can get that in the draft.
It is if you are only playing the guy on clear passing downs, and the player is used to lining up on the line of scrimmage with his hand on the ground. It’s not if you want a more well rounded DE or if the pass rusher is used to attacking as a blitzer. In any case, 3-4 sacks a year isn’t special for either type.
150 tackles, 14 sacks, eight forced fumbles!!!, and 7 PDs in 1856 snaps
Taco- 46 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 FF, and 2 PDs in 800 snaps.
Armstrong- 14 tackles, .5 sacks, 0 FF, and 0 PDs in 273 snaps.
Gregory- 45 tackles, 7 sacks, 2 FFs, and 0 PDs in 767 snaps.
We could have gotten another Gregory without pot smoking issues on a 1 yr $5M deal. Other than him(who ks suspended) and Lawrence who costs $20M and Crawford who costs $10M I'm not sure where the equivalent production is coming from that you're speaking of.
Teams play nickel 70% of downs. Edge is edge on 70% of downs.
You're being mighty generous today. I assumed the QB would at least get back to the line of scrimmage.
As soon as Marinelli retires.
