I know it is his team...but he is to prone to hyperbole...he goes on and on about Tank Johnson during "Hard Knocks"...what do you think that did for Tanks ego? Tank THOUGHT he should be starting and killing people....because Jerry said he should. Well Tank gets on the field and does not bust a grape. So the COACHES sit his butt. And of course that did not sit well with Tank...so his attitude sullied the lockeroom. The owner goes on the radio and says TO shoudl get the ball more...so what did that do to our offensive coordinator and qb...it basically left Jerry calling the plays. Jerry goes through hell and high water to keep Pac Man "eligble" last year. Even going as far as to inserting him into the lineup after he was suspended...what do you think that did to the other players. He hired football minds...let them do there job Jerry. And just because they make mistakes from time to time (which EVERY football person does)...does not mean Jerry needs to rip the head sets from them and pretend this is a pepsi commercial

I think Jerry gets much of what he says from the coaching staff. Wade has talked about wanting to see Felix more involved before Jerry said anything. Talk of Ogletree was positive since training camp by the coaching staff which is why an UDFA like him made the team to begin with. I don't think Jerry stops the coaches from doing their jobs nor do I think he is telling them what plays to run.

I doubt he directly does...but when he puts it out there for public consumption...which gives every other media outlet the juice they are looking for....combine that with the popularity of the Dallas Cowboys. His statements take on a life of their own and have MUCH more impact than they should.

Talking highly on players? I agree we get more attention but other GM talk highly of their players as well. Jerry is at the practice and meetings through out the week so he is seeing these guys and talking with the coaches. Despite that Jerry will also ditch guys like Tank and Pacman or TO and I think much of that comes from the input of the staff.

oh yeah, I can just hear Greg telling the Raiders our secrets ..like-
1. they like to throw the ball to Witten when Romo gets in trouble
2. they look to Barber to pound the ball up the middle
3. look for number 76 to false start
4. Carpenter will get the crowd going when he raises his arms high and wide
5. if we cover Roy with 2 defenders he will never catch it
6. Crayton will fair catch any punts 99% of the time
7. TNew will give the receiver 20 yard cushion on 3rd downs

....looks like we are screwed for this game fellas..!

thats a good one too; but again, i go back to the good old cowboys days with tom landry, where bulletin board material was used; and that motivated the cowboys;

like one year someone sent a wreath to harvey martin

that really lit harvey up and he played like a man possessed in that game

I'm more concerned with Ellis play than any information he may have. I think Greg will be highly motivated in this game and I know Ellis is capable of bringing pressure.

Never ceases to amaze me how every game against a supposed lesser team, people just on this board proclaiming how we should stomp them and how easy it should be and we should rest guys cause we won't need them.

I sure hope the team doesn't think this way.

It's also worth noting their defense isn't bad at all and is capable of turning it on. Combined with our love for dumb mistakes and our inate ability to kill drives, I wouldn't take anything for granted.

This^^^

However, with the exception of Randy Moss, players fell slighted by the Cowboys always come in with the intention to light it up against us and fail. My personal favorite was Emmitt after the "diamond among trash" comment. Lowest rushing total of his career and a mangled shoulder courtesy of Roy Williams.;)

Run the piss outta the ball and manhandle the Raiders. A couple of late hits on their QB and WR's should do the trick as well. Not get carried away, but, just a little "hey I am here all day" smack.

And can they please complete a pass to a WR in the first qtr?

your avatar, took me a second glance to realize you are not a Commanders troll. cool avatar but hmm..

The key to winning this game is thru the running game. Their pass defense is legit so is their pash rush. However, that's all they have. Run the ball and run it a lot. If we have to throw the ball too much it will not be easy for us.

I'm hoping we're able to beat on the Raiders pretty good. This could wind up being a very tough game, I never count any game as an easy one in the NFL, but this could be one of those that we do come out and do very well. Romo has been pretty darn good on Thanksgiving since taking over.

This is for bulletin board material for cowboys and us fans against the raiders

1. Remember Wade Phillips had a verbal agreement not to play their starters more than the first quarter. Which wade did not play his starters more, but cable head coach of raiders did not keep his word. Even one of their assistants called cable out about it, and you all know what happened.

2. Seymour said, (star DL from patriots now playing for raiders) said that the NFC east division was the easiest softest team in the league and they would be easy for the raiders to beat. Seymour went on to say that the raiders would make the super bowl, etc. And that the Dallas Cowboys would be one of the easiest teams for the raiders to beat. Remember how they stomped on us in the preseason this year and yucked it up to our face after the game etc.

3. Jerry Jones was on thefan 105.3 today and basically said that he is sure that Greg Ellis is telling the coaching staff of the raiders and the players our weaknesses and strengths of our players and how to beat us.

So, fans, what do you have to say to that and get our cowboys ready to beat the raiders.
That's some pretty weak bulletin board material IMO. Sorry. Especially #3, he's doing what they all do when they leave.

I wish that we could beat up in the Commanders so by the whole 4th quarter all of the backups are in the game, so the regulars can get some rest. Sure, they get that extra 3 days off after thursday, but still that way in 4th quarter, you wont have to worry about possibly some of the starters getting injuries.
