-Both are excellent in yards after catch
-Neither are considered strong route runners at this stage
-Burden is quicker/faster, Williams has huge size with a bigger catch radius

All the combine sheeeeeeeet is a big waste of time.

Most guys aren't YAC guys...but maybe combine numbers help a YAC, as maybe their strength can break a few tackles.

I'm still going Moss over YAC. I like YAC guys a lot...just noting that combine doesn't beat tape for me

Go back and watch yesterdays draft show. Early part of the show Nick Harris talking about Williams: prefaces his comments with i have excellent contacts at TCU, his contacts are worried that Williams will have a hard time learning a pro offense/ playbook. Yeah the guy looks like a lab creation but IMO that is a huge red flag. They need to hit on their first three picks minimum. WR have a fairly high bust risk to begin with. I would be very leary about drafting him early.

I think Burden is a full round ahead of Williams bc of his route running. It was more diverse in 23’ when the team didn’t suck so bad.

On the draft show yesterday Nick referenced he’s heard from TCU sources Williams may struggle to pick up a playbook.

So the story shifts, yawn, does a talented guy get a career ripped from him over a playbook....or are coaches able to make it work for him.

I get it...if you are so out of it mentally...it's hard to make it work.

Hard to imagine in today's game, that it is sooooo intricate on audibles and showing defenses.....that a coach can't make it work for a talented athlete.

Prove to me the game is sooooo difficult that a Bo Jackson can't play because of his head. Prove it.

I think it's all words and no substance

Well for plays that are timing and rhythm based the QB is usually throwing the ball to a spot where the WR is supposed to be. If Williams can’t consistently run the right routes and be where he’s supposed to be he’s going to lose the QBs trust and it could lead to turnovers.

I absolutely love Savion…but they should be doing their homework on what’s going on between the ears like they should for every prospect they’re interested in.

not sure you can even compare them tbh, totally different players..

You're starting to sound wordy.

Red flag for me

Coming from a low iq guy that played wr in high school and didn't know the playbook...and gave up at least one great play call for a td because I didn't k ow the playbook...

I get it...

Not not at that level.

I'm sorry for excuses. I font get it.

Take this kid out of home-ec classes that waste his time and money....and drill the playbook in him.

I know it would have worked for me, regardless of brain activity at the time. Stop wasting the kids time at other crap, get him on board....then allow him to live a good life based off his athletics.

I'm not into...."it's his own self discilpline" or "he just font have it"

How about stop wasting his time in history classes or math classes?

Guarantee it's not as hard as one wants me to believe. These people are wasting those guys talent distracting him with other crap.

It's a shame

Why would grown adults waste this kids talent based on "he's gotta help himself"

Anyone? Beuler?

How much did this kid get paid this year?

Maybe if he isn't willing, even after getting paid...you can claim a small argument...

Prove it.

I remember many were saying the same things about Dez, never was where he was suppose to be, but he caught everything in his direction.

It's up to the Cowboys staff/scouts to figure out if he has the mental acuity to pick up concepts and language of a scheme. Many will say, I cannot teach that athleticism, but can teach him how to run a route tree.

Thos convo is old and could be summed up way more quickly...

The kid is either too un-present to EVER get it....or he is worth taking a shot on?

What are the alternatives to this kids risk? Is it a sharpe decline in talent? If so, are his faults not over comeable?

Someone figure it out. My God, seems like draft talk is too rage baiting for me

100%…and he doesn’t need the full route tree year 1. Just let him run the basic stuff and let his athleticism shine.

Don't want either but easily take williams in round 2 or 3 before burden in 1

This whole new niche aimed at YAC guys...

The draft screws these guys.

I'm not showing my strength until second contract.

F getting hurt on rook deal trying to ball for some greedy owners that don't deserve 51% of revenue. Assuming all this is real and the owners didn't create the players. But that is unverifiable.

Both will take time to develop.

Williams quite a bit more than Burden…

My only concern with taking someone like Williams would be if we get another stagnant OC that only runs slants, hitches and gos etc. We need someone that can get an impact out of Savion in year 1…MM wouldn’t.

I think MM actually used Lamb correctly, everyone else is debatable. He would find ways to give him the ball, screens, carries, reverses, etc. I think you have to use the same method on booth these receivers as they as so good with the ball in their hands.
