No objections there.

Yeah, Nolan's done an amazing job with what he's got in Denver.

I'm wondering if there's a young, up-and-coming, 3-4 coordinator candidate out there?

Maybe Pittsburgh's linebackers coach?

better thought if you are Jones...hire the best coaches possible regardless of what schemes they run, let them figure it out

As much as I want Wade gone, I want Norv as a head coach even less. Both reached their ceilings as coordinators.

Norv's done a pretty good job in San Diego...and he's done an amazing job with Rivers

Too bad neither are capable of bringing a decent defensive coordinator with them.

I would have been okay with Gruden if he had Monte Kiffin in tow. Looks like Monte will be at UT beyond this year.

Jerry Rice said Norv was easily the worst head coach he ever had. That speaks volumes and is good enough for me.

Shanahan or Holmgren.....hmmmm

As Deion would say....both

Shanny HC
Holmgren OC
Pittsburgh LB coach for DC - I'd love to see Ware in LeBeau's system

Looks like some of it was missing, but there's a blurb there today about us. Nothing new, but its still out there.

I think it onlly takes a good QB coach to help Romo

I think Shany anf Holmgren would be mistakes

what are we suppose to due wait until we turn the whole O line over so we can zone block - Shanny

Hassleback as QB enuf said - about Holmgren

just MO

I really like Herring as DC

Here's a new name to the next HC of the Dallas Cowboys:

Gregg Williams

And I'd like to see either Fassel or Mike Martz as QB coach. Garrett still needs some vet guidance/assistance.

I haven't been impressed with Gregg Williams the head coach.I believe he's a better coordinator than a head coach.

Absolutely my take as well. I don't give two craps what schemes they run. If we hire a new HC and he wants to bring in a 4-3 coach for defense? Knock yourself out. You're the damn HC and should be able to do that.

He's only been a HC ONCE, for all of TWO seasons. He has improved as a coach since then.

I don't think his philosopy has changed any though,he was ultra conservative in his game management.I believe he was 17-31 while with Buffalo which is hardly inspiring. He also employs a 4-3 scheme while this team has been transitioned to a 3-4 scheme.

Romo's terrific.

There's always room for improvement, but Tony doesn't need much "fixing", folks.

Romo's terrific, and Garrett's been very good this year. That doesn't matter, though, because we lost close game to two good teams and our fans have jumped ship.

That said, Tony definitely had his confidence shaken, and he looked horrible against the Giants and in the second half against Denver. He played *great* in the KC game, though, and I think that game was a turning point for our team. We'll find out this week.

Yeah, potentially a problem with either one.

Isnt it ironic. Jerry's last round of hiring coaches he decided on Wade because he thought Romo was a safe bet. He needed somebody to "fix" the defense. So he decided against Norv Turner at the last minute.

3yrs later, Romo seems to have issues and the next hire will probably be a coach to help get more out of him.

I don't think he considered Romo a 'safe bet' because he didn't re-new his contract until we were near the middle of the regular season. He had Garrett, probably thought he could help assist Romo.

The defense takes some flack and it should to a degree, but quite frankly it's much better than it was back in '06 and '04 (last year we ran the 4-3). I think the biggest problem is the safety play. We're not very fast on defense overall and Bradie isn't the greatest cover guy. So you need good covering safeties to help out and we don't have it. I think that compounds the issue at corner.

Whomever we get as the next head coach, we need to take the steps to find quality coverage in our safeties. If that calls for new HC, drafting safeties earlier in the draft, moving Newman to FS and drafting another corner, firing scouts, hiring a different defensive backs coach, they need to do it.

I think it could be a combination of several things working in tandem that have contributed to the lack of turnovers.I think coaching is part of the problem and I also think this teams defenders drop alot of would be picks. It was widely reported that the defensive backs taken in the draft were all ball hawks, but most of them were cut.Something else to consider is that teams that create alot of turnovers seem to have an attitude that allows them to be agressive, whereas this team seems so passive.
