Burkhardt and Olsen

I would agree. It seems like Olsen gets a lot of hate for being anti Cowboy, but I just dont see it. There might be a slight bias there (which everyone will have to some extent), but overall I think he does a fantastic job of talking through the Xs and Os in a very simplistic way that is understandable to the common fan who isnt watching hours of film every week.

I liked how they commented on #65 for the Giants and his total meltdown in the 1st qtr.....I felt the same way they did, i couldnt beleive they would not take him out.

You say one thing that not positive about the Cowboys and you are Anti Cowboys to the softer elements of the fanbase

I hadnt heard about him being anti-Cowboy and I remember him gushing a season or two ago about his son getting an autographed jersey from Dakota.

The worst thing that happened to Olsen was Brady getting hired. It killed his trajectory

Both of those dudes are just fine.

It’s the fringe element of our fanbase that starts attacking the broadcasters when the team is struggling.

I'm going off of the comments in the game thread yesterday as far as the anti-Cowboy stuff goes, but I guess I should also consider the source there. 99% of everything in the game thread is an overreaction.

I see a lot of hate for Olsen on X and don't get it. I think he does a good job and enjoy his insights.

Here’s my pet theory.

Cowboys fans have no issues criticizing their own layers, but what they can’t stand is when an “outsider” does it.

I like Olsen but his bit about the DB not getting called for PI when the ball is underthrown was silly. DB's should know where the ball is. If they don't and interfere with the WR who does it should be PI!

joe davis is an excellent play by play man.
of course,i'm biased towards those dodgers.
olsen is solid.
he's won me over.
i think they are one of the best duo's.

Yup, that's fair and we do see bias in the booth at times. I was surprised to hear that Olsen was being accused of it but if that's the vibe the forum was giving off I understand why you said it.

I really like when they call our games. Burkhardt, really let's Olsen share his knowledge of the game while still excelling at commentary. I could listen to Olsen talk football any day. The guy in my opinion is the best next to to Aikman.
Olsen is one of the best out there....no being a homer, no being overly critical. Too bad so many others aren't as professional

This worked in our favor in the 2014 playoff game against the Lions when the officials picked up the flag against Hitchens in a very similar situation.

I was for the no-call in that game so I have to stick with it in this situation. The defender has a right to the space he occupies. If the ball hits him in the back he doesn't need to get out of the way to give the receiver a path to it.

Burkhart is with Brady now. Olsen's new play-by-play guy is solid.
Olsen is insufferable. The other guy is fine. I don't need a football 101 class like I'm 10 years old. I need you to call the game in its most basic form where the average fan understands it. Olsen dwells on plays to a point of overkill. Madden and Summerall were the gold standard for how you call a game. Call the game and know when to shut up. I almost feel like Olsen thinks he can influence the outcome like a WWE announcer lol.
