Burnett has spelled Ellis on the left side quite a bit this season (more than any other player). That would indicate that he backs up Ellis to me.

Burnett backs up Ware, at least on the depth chart. I'm sure he'll have a shot at Ellis's job.

My money is Singleton plays the first two downs....

Burnett plays a lot on special teams and the nickel where he is effective. Not sure how he'll do as an every down guy since he's around 230-240.

No matter what Parcells said, Burnett has a shot at the starting job. We all know that.

Burnett is probably the lead guy at this point, he has been playing really well. I would like to see Bobby Carpenter come out with it though. Burnett was probably my favorite draft pick last year (I called him getting drafted in my draft board).

The talent he was playing against was much less than what LT played against

LT was better than Deacon ............ LT was the greatest defensive player of all time ........ if ya cannot see that kid ......... well ........

I can tell ya what I heard about Deacon Jones is that he would head slap a guy so hard that his ears would still be ringing 3 plays later... He had help inside with Merlin Olsen but Deacon was a beast

Dont get me wrong .... Deacon was one of the best of all time .....

but noone caused as much trouble for offenses than LT. He changed the game.
