I love how personally some of you people take these parting comments from players that sign with other teams... it's comical

Funny how you guys say my cousin doesn't stay healthy, but he only missed 3 games and that was as a rookie.....Newman is more injure prone than Kev....I hope he does get a chance to start in SD, I always thought he was best rushing the passer like he did at Tenn.

At least I got a chance to see a family member, play for one of my favorite teams in sports, good or bad alot of people cannot say that..........

don't worry about it, a lot of the guys on this board think they're on Jerry's payroll and that their comments actually matter but they don't

good luck to Kevin

Serious question and hearing Burnette: Who was the last person we let go that flourished someplace else (and who had the I wasn't given a chance attitude)?

And I don't mean someone we tried to stash on the practice squad.

Good question. Pretty much if we thought they were average or past their prime here it was usually proven wherever else they went.

Joey Galloway and Antonio Bryant did pretty good after they left.

Dallas really hasn't had that good of team in recent history to let guys go that others wanted. even though they underachieved big time last year there was plenty of talent and Dallas was deep at a few positions compared to years past..heck last years back ups were better than the starters when Tuna came to town

Hes started on the nickel and got at least 30 snaps a game. You would thinkt hat over the course of almost 500 snaps in a season he would figure out a way to 'showcase' those skills. Personally, after watching hom run the nickel for the past two years and over 900 snaps about the only thing I can say is that he doesn't suck at coverage nearly as much as Bradie James does.

Releasing someone because they were bad characters is a legit reason if they still have talent. So, basically Joey Galloway was the only player?!?! Ouch.....but he wasn't drafted by us. What was the reason we let Galloway go..wasn't it basically money?

He is right, he never really had a chance here just like Bobby hasn't really had one either. Good luck to him, at least he was kind enough to go to the AFC, unlike Canty's treacherous self.
The coaches see you in practice, maybe they just did not like what they saw in him.

As far as I'm concerned, he was a great cover guy, but outside of that, I did not see much.

i didnt know that???? how long ago?

Abran Elam was arrested and convicted of sexual assault while at Notre Dame. He was expelled because of it.

One thing that infuriates me is that people bag on Vick because of dogs or Tank because he likes to own guns yet they give the guy who assaulted a co-ed a pass.

ANd as usual Fuzzy got the story wrong. If he had bothered to do any research he would find out that all the other players involved had the charges dismissed and the girl in question has been shown to have a mental disorder- and in being a pathological liar. But by the time this all came out it was too late for Elam.

Oh really, show one shred of evidence of this. When new evidence of that type of light comes up you can appeal. I know the other guys got off but that does not excuse what went on.

I have actually read the testimony that he gave during his trial and about the only thing he said to recuse himself was that he stopped halfway during what he was doing because some part of him felt that it was wrong and left. He was very explicit about some of the things that he did before leaving.

I also happen to know that youre a biased ND fan. I could care less about minor league football.

Actually Kevin, you did get a chance to showcase your skills. The results weren't what we/you had hoped for.

Wish you the best of luck in SD. Always liked you as a player.... and had high hopes for you.

Again, the Cowboys chose to match the offer of Burnett, despite knowing Burnett would be a part-time player. What does that say for the Cowboys? People act as if the Cowboys had nothing vested in Burnett, yet the tried matching the offer. He was their best coverage LB, with the exception of Zach Thomas in his prime, which says a lot. If Zach is gone, we are definitely going to draft LB, because our LB corp can't cover worth crap.

I know, Burnie, it's a vicious cycle. If you don't excel you can't show your "skills" and if you can't show your skills you can't show them what a great player you are. Or something like that, Bernie.

Now just go away and excel in San Diego, was it?
