Bust: Buehler (wasnt very accurate in college and had few off-season months to "get good" at hitting field goals. Just don't think it works that way. Really hope I am wrong on this.

Break-out: Scandrick. Really came on late last year after disappointing start (possible dip in confidence from CB battle). But this guy is a baller and I think he steps up big this year to the point of possible challenging Newman next year opposite Jenkins.

you do realize we didn't draft Buehler as a field goal kicker right? we took him as a kick off specialist which he has excelled at and we still had Folk who the season before was one of the best kickers in the league

2007 while appearing in all 13 games, he hit 16-of-19 field goals and 52-of-54 PATs

2008 season, making 9 of 13 field goals and 65 of 66 extra points.

sorry Woods don't see it happeninhg

Boom - Doug Free - I think the coaching staff has really seen something from this guy. He will surprise a lot of fans this season.

Bust - Marion Barber - I think he has just taken too many hard hits in his career.

Bust: Allan Ball - Will not live up as a full-time FS, but may maintain a future at CB.

Break-Out: Doug Free - Will solidify his LT position and provide a capable replaceme nt to Flozell Adams..

Bust: Martellus Bennett- Has another low-numbers year, and is cut after the season ends, placing John Phillips @ #2 TE.

Breakout: Alan Ball- Will be the 2nd best player in the Cowboys secondary next year and will make a backup Pro Bowl appearance.

Boom- Anthony Spencer, I think he actually gets the sacks that he was so close to last year. Also, I will add in Ogletree. I think that Crayton will get traded during the preseason and Ogletree will have a nice season as the third.

Bust- O-Line as a unit. I just don't think they have what it takes to get us to the championship.

If our OL is the problem in the playoffs & we suffer another loss like we did against Minny, it's fully on Jerry's shoulders. He really needs to bring in another good OL backup who can legitimately start at either OG or C--not named Proctor.

Boom
------
Anthony Spencer - I think the light went on for him for good during the second half of the season. He kinda reminded me of Ware in the sense that he consistently looked like a force. Even in the Minnesota game, where it seemed like the team was playing down as a whole, Spencer stood out to me as if he was playing a good game. Barring him getting hurt or knicked up, I'm convinced he's going to be a Pro Bowl type player.

I was very tempted to put Bennett here. The things that makes me apprehensive about Bennett are whether he's serious about the game and if there will really be enough opportunity for him to break out. His last training camp reminds me of what people were saying about Spencer in 2008. As some may recall, Spencer was touted as being unblockable constantly, but it ultimately never translated to the field. The word on Bennett this past offseason struck me as a frighteningly familiar, but again I don't know that he'll get if enough chances to really "break-out".

Bust
---
Roy E. Williams - I don't know if he's even fair to use in this category anymore, but I think his ticket out of Dallas will be written this season. Unless he starts making the most of every opportunity he gets and being a trusted target for Romo, he's simply not going to have the production to justify continuing to be on this team. Mainly, I think if Dez Bryant develops any kind of rapport with Romo, it'll be particularly damaging to Roy's chances to remain on this roster.

He was 16/19 at USC one yr, that isnt accurate? Only missed 2 under 40 yds.

Maybe on Scandrick, but he needs to start attacking the ball better before I'd think of him as a legit starting CB. He did improve as the yr wore on last yr, but he was awful early in the season and was a totl flop when he got his chance to start.

Agree with all of these. Spencer might end up with 12-15 sacks this yr. I also think Bennett could be much more a part of the offense and make quite a few big plays, especially considering how much attention teams will have to pay to Witten, Austin and Bryant.

RW has to have a big camp and preseason. If he doesnt and Bryant shines, he'll becomes an afterthought real quick. It's apparent that Romo, and the coaches lost faith in late last yr. They wont waste another entire season trying to force it.

Yes, he was drafted as a kick-off specialist, but that doesn't mean the team can afford to leave him in that capacity. The team will continue to look for a kicker that can excel at field goals and PATs, and also post a reasonable record kicking off.

Boom: Felix Jones is going to have an outstanding year. I foresee Felix being used in more ways than just running. If the Cowboys can ever get good at screen passes, Felix will be the reason.

Bust: The O-line as a unit scares me. I think Free will be okay, but Gurode is starting to fall off, as is Davis. Colombo was hurt last year, which he has historically experienced. Who is going to take his place as capably as Free did last year?

Boom: Mike Jenkins- becomes the 2nd best corner in the league, behind only revis.

Bust: Colombo- I just think he is done. Obviously I will be very happy to say I was wrong.

BOOM: All Dallas Cowboys

BUST: All conflict ESPN tries to create concerning the Cowboys

Break Out - Dez Bryant and Doug Free

Bust - Beuhler kicking FGs, Ball will only be average FS and will be replaced with Hamlin by week 7.

Well if you watched most of the games you would notice that he is on the field for just more than KO. He is on punt coverage and he is a threat of laying wood on KO coverage. If he keeps kicking the ball off like he did last there is no way the cowboys let him go even if he fails miseribly at Field Goals

Bust on Buehler you have not seen him kick any FG other than 1 39 yarder in pre season in which he made. Outside of that he is putting more kicks in the endzone helping the coverage unit better than any kicker in the league.
