He's a freakin rookie, what did you expect, an all pro....it takes three years for these rookies to finally get it, Did you think, as many here thought that Jenkins was a bust of a pick last year... what do you think ths year, he' our best corner. Spencer has really come on, it took, that's right, three years.... Stop judging rookies, forget about rookies until the third year, this isn't college football.

No way.....rookies are supposed to be all pros *subtle jab to some around here*

So most people in here wanted Butler to start over Spencer earlier in the year. Now he is garbage that will never make it. Amazing.

You got to love it. People will praise you one week and throw you under the bus the next. Something really wrong with the crowd who eats crow.:laugh2:

Didn't see the game, but increased playing time for Butler led to more rest for Ware. I've never seen him so fresh towards the end of the game...At least that's one thing he did for the team.

I like the kid, I think he'll be good...But he is a rookie.

I have been rewatching the game off the DVR...slo-moing lots of plays.

Butler does not look ready for the big stage. He can't shed a blocker, takes poor angles in pursuit, gets caught up in the wash and just seems lost out there in his assignments.

Maybe a light will come on with him since he's such a kid but as it stand our defense lacks depth at OLB and we need to attend to it in the offseason.

As it stands he has one positive attribute: explosion off the edge. But sadly that's about it.

This is exactly why Wade has been hesitant to play Butler much on base downs. He's just not very big and can get engulfed by blockers. I love the guy and his tremendous attitude, but it's a limitation for him.

Now I do wish he'd get more snaps in that Cowboy package. When everyone knows you're rushing, that lack of size isn't so important. My guess is that means Bowen would come off the field, and he's played well all year in his role.

I noticed that Bradie gave Butler a lot of love in his postgame interview. He really works hard at it and prepares his butt off, and that's just the kind of player this team needed more of.

He needs to be developed but he is active as a pass rusher.

Hes not a 3 down guy yet but he can give you a pass rush on 3rd downs.

You can tell he has packed on some muscle too.
