I also heard about 3D Tv's and 3D Blu-ray coming out also. I am curious how that will look. I have 4 movies on Blu-ray that are in 3D and I think they are really neat (I have not watched all of them yet). I am curious what the big difference will be with the way these 3D movies look on my standard Blu-ray player and standard HDTV and the way 3D movies will look on 3D Blu-ray players and 3D HDTVs.
The 3D movies that I have are 1. Journey to the Center of the Earth (I watched this one on Blu-ray) 2. The Polar Express (I also watched this one on Blu-ray 3. Coraline (I watched part of this one on Blu-ray and will get back to it later in time) 4. The Final Destination (I have not started watching this one on Blu-ray yet, but I will watch it later in time)
The difference is, the 3D that is currently on them is the same 3D that has been around forever with the alternate colors on the glasses.
The new 3D will be like the 3D that is currently in theaters. The glasses will come with the TVs (and I'm sure sold separately), not with the movies.
The PS3 will have a firmware update later this year to allow it to play the new 3D blu-rays, but you'll still need the 3D capable TV.
