That's Garrett's way of throwing the player (in this case the punter) under the bus if it doesn't work. Actually I was probably one of the very few who liked the call, but I don't like a coach who doesn't have the guts to take the credit or blame for a gutsy call, and is willing to throw his player under the bus. But that's Garrett.
