The addition of Irving to complement Lawrence, the return of linebackers Lee and and Kinchens amd the re-emergence of a dominant running game has contributed to a vast improvement of the defense. Keep in mind that the young secondary continues to obtain valuable experience they will need as the s3ason progresses.

At this point what we are all hoping for is momentum building victories over other playoff contenders like the Falcons, Eagles, and Vikings. These games will go down to the wire and this is where the world discovers the difference between talented passers like Wentz and Goff and great quarterbacks like Dak Prescott.

I believe Sean Lee's hamstring injury is the difference between 5-3 and 7-1 as we sit here today. This is a really good football team that caught a couple tough breaks in those Rams/Packers games, resulting in a difficult hole to dig itself out of.
