Zeke looked like he was running with a chip on his shoulder last week. I have to admit though, if l saw 37-10 without seeing the game, l would have guessed he had a much better game. Now comes the biggest test, consistency. We've got two weeks to prepare to the Giants. Lay an egg in that game and it's back to SOS. . .
Biggest Surprise: losing to Dolphins
Biggest Disappointment: running game
Show me more of: Pollard
Best player in supporting role: Lewis
MVP 1: Dak ....MVP 2: Cooper ( different offense w/o him )
Best player in a supporting role: Jourdan Lewis. But it is sad that we are one healed hammy from Anthony Brown to him disappearing again.
I saw Lewis being deployed on several corner blitzes, one he got home on. That is how Marinelli used Ronde Barber.I hope that the coaches might see things a little differently now than before Brown got hurt. At least to my eyes, it is pretty evident that Lewis is just a better football player than Brown. Not that I don’t like Brown... I just think that Lewis is really good.
I hope that Kris will see him a little differently now but I’m not a coach. I did play in the defensive secondary through high school and college though, so I do know what I’m seeing, for the most part... but I’m definitely not a pro coach, so I defer to the guys who get paid to coach, I guess.
Who knows what Richard will decide... but I hope he sticks with Lewis.
Biggest surprise)... La'el Collins. Never thought he'd be rated number one out of 34 at RT.
Biggest disappointment)...Cidobe Awuzie. He looks like a shell shocked rookie out there.
Show me more of)...Blake Jarwin. This guy can really do some damage in the passing game if given a chance.
Best player in a supporting role)...Pollard. I'm thinking it should be a 70-30 split between Zeke and Pollard.
Best offseason acquisition)...Quinn.
Best comeback player)...Frederick.
Best undrafted rookie)...Luke Gifford.
Most valuable player)...Dak.
Yeah, I loved that blitz where Lewis got home on Wentz. I hope to see a little more of those. If we do, the offense will start sliding protection that way and then the corner can bail out, dropping into coverage and giving a DL on the opposite side a 1-on-1.I saw Lewis being deployed on several corner blitzes, one he got home on. Take from that what you will.
The general point is, we have got the players. The rest is up to the coaches.Yeah, I loved that blitz where Lewis got home on Wentz. I hope to see a little more of those. Awuzie was actually a good blitzer at Colorado. He a really physical corner.
Anyway, I hope the coaches see how versatile Lewis is and what a good football player he can be for them.
O MVP Tyron
D MVP Quinn
Best Rookie- Pollard by default
Worst Rookie- Hill by a mile
Most Improved- La’el. May be the best RT in football
Worst drop off- Jaylon and LVE
Overrated- Chido
Underrated- CWill
We do have the players. Everywhere, but specifically talking about the secondary... there are some good players there. The general point is, we have got the players. The rest is up to the coaches.
The bad thing is that shortly you have run through their window. That means desperate for a corner. Huge area for a miss.We do have the players. Everywhere, but specifically talking about the secondary... there are some good players there.
This group is so much better than the Claiborne/Carr/Church/Wilcox secondary. Looking back at those guys gives creeps me out a little.
Lewis would have been the best out of that group, easily IMO.

Biggest surprise: The fact the defense has clearly taken a step back from last year's level.
Biggest disappointment: No question. Trysten Hill. I didn't expect a lot. But he has been so ineffective it is terrifying. He does not even look like he belongs in this league. He is that awful.
Show me more of: Donovan Wilson. Yes. I understand you don't want to disrupt the defense, but he needs reps. He was very exciting in the preseason. The way the Cowboys handled Brock Marion is how he needs to be handled. Give him a few plays. This doglike devotion to Heath has to stop. The Cowboys took out Everett and Washington back in the day to get Marion on the field for reps.
Best player in a supporting role: Jourdan Lewis. But it is sad that we are one healed hammy from Anthony Brown to him disappearing again.
Most valuable player: Tyron Smith. It is pretty clear that teams behave differently on defense when he plays.
Hard to argue with the tweeter’s choices. Here are mine:
Biggest surprise: Robert Quinn
Biggest disappointment: Michael Gallup
Show me more of: Tony Pollard (!!!!)
Best in a supporting role: Jourdan Lewis
Most valuable player: Amari Cooper
Let’s be honest, Amari Cooper has become the most important player on this team - yes, more important than Zeke. I believe this team can win with Pollard if Zeke gets hurt. But if Cooper goes down, throw up the white flag.
