Bye Week Games Thread

I hate to say it.. but the Packers are certainly the best team in football right now. Although, the season is young and anything can happen at this point.

They are not.

Don't need to. And I do see your point. But it is kinda frustrating when you're trying to make a point, and people just won't see it, isn't it?

Actually no. About 75%-80% on this board agree with me. We will not get to where we want to go unless we develop a consistent running game and also develop the will and patience to stick with it at given times. Every game cannot be put on Romo's shoulder's to win. It will not work. It has not worked. He's a damn good QB, but he has shown repeatedly he cannot do it all on his own. Our defense is greatly improved this year, but it's still not a dominant defense. A team with a pretty good defense and a poor running game will not win it all. It's just that simple. You either need to be outstanding somewhere or pretty good in every facet. We are neither right now, but I think we can be.

Their defense has looked good tonight. If they can field just a half-way decent defense, they are going to be tough.

I've never seen so many tipped passes in my life as there's been today.

The thing is, at this time last year, they were looking bad. They barely made it into the playoffs and well, the rest is history. Things can change so drastically week to week in this league. On top of the world one week, in the crapper the next.

There's no consistency in the NFL anymore.

I saw AJ Green tumble and lose a ball like that and it was still a TD.

The rules are a detriment at this point.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure on when the process of a catch begins and ends. To me that looked like he caught it and then went down. I don't consider it going down as part of the process since he took 2 steps and went down on his 3rd.

I'd put them at #2 behind the Ravens.

Having said that, watching this game, I am impressed with their depth... James Jones (120ish yards) is their #4 WR and Randall Cobb (number of big 1st downs), their #5 WR, and looks like a young Donald Driver) are an indicator of the incredible depth they have.

New England respectfully disagrees.

I didn't realize Rodgers was playing with cracked ribs and a healing punctured lung.

Or Phil Costa and Bill Nagy on their line.

Garrett chose that o-line.

Romo has played quite courageously these last couple weeks. He's a great QB.

New England's defense has been crap. Offense? Yea, it's great. However, their defense is very vulnerable.

It's called depth - the Packers have it because they have the best GM in the game.

It also helps that Atlanta doesn't have much of a passrush without Abraham but why let facts get in the way of an irrational argument.

Packers are the best organization in the NFL - everyone else is gunning to be #2.

Packers are just well-coached. They're running the clock down right now by RUNNING THE BALL.

Romo would be in shotgun right now under Ginger in this same situation.

Green bay was throwing the ball all over the place with a big lead last week though.

Matt Ryan's line for tonight:

18/32, 168 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT

Coming into tonight, GB was 32nd in passing yards allowed, had 11 sacks and 8 INT's.

It was also the 4th quarter.

Wrong. They are.

They're the defending Super Bowl champions and undefeated (5-0) this season. Even further, they are healthier and stronger personel-wise than they were last year when they were riddled with injuries.

How do they make that call? Do they not understand "indisputable"?
