Bye Week Games Thread

The Packers are the best of the group. No doubt.

However, the Packers' defense is exploitable, and the Lions' defensive line can get pressure without blitzing -- an ability that will serve them well against Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers escape ability and his ability to throw those little quick slants to all of those receiving weapons makes it really hard to stop this offense. The Packers D isn't great, but they don't have to be. Realistically they only have to make a couple of stops each game because their offense is so explosive.

I have to put the Saints up there with the Packers..
No one is talking about them as much as the Packers..
Once we clean our act, take care of the ball, play 60 minutes
I put us with those two as well

We are so much better than both of these teams.

Can't even watch this game, just seeing the Lions makes me sick.

Man, they are all over Cutler though.

Makes you appreciate the job the OLine did last week.

Interesting, the difference in the fearsome Detroit pass rush between last week and this.

So who do you deem the two best teams in the NFC?

I would go with New Orleans and marginally Green Bay. But there is some big time parity in the NFL right now.

yes he is, the change of scenery was good for him

It was the scheme change that has helped him. He isn't asked to take on Gs and plays alot of coverage on TEs which he is more than capable of doing. That is why Wade never liked him because he knew Barbie wasn't the type that could stop the run taking on OL but instead played him in nickel situations because he could run with backs and TEs.

You would say that GB is marginally the best team in the NFC? Please explain this.

Scary how bad CHI OL is huh?

Bah, this just makes me more upset we crapped the bed and didn't beat these Lions. Now we gotta hear about how they are undefeated, blah blah blah. Meanwhile, our two losses are games we gave away. At least we got a division win, that one may come in useful.

I don't know. I try not to go off a small sample size. I see this every year where everyone is labeled the best this and that. Wait until the end of the season and stop putting labels on teams. ATL and CHI were the best in the NFC for much of last season. Neither got to the Super Bowl.

It makes me so angy that we had this team dead to rights, we were BLOWING THEM OUT by 24 points in our house and we let it get away. Just unacceptable.

And their ****** of a coach. That guy reeks of *****iness of the highest form.

Dumb management by Chicago there. Should have spiked the ball, kicked the FG, and tried for an onside kick. At least they would have had a chance.

Their defense hasn't exactly been playing that great. Their secondary looks pretty bad and the pass rush hasn't exactly been there. They need their bye week to get healthy.
