Byron Jones

Byron Jones never should have been switched to TE in the first place. I thought he displayed promising coverage skills at CB from the start before the team ever decided to put that square peg in a round hole. Now he's back where he belonged to begin with and has become a valuable asset to the team. Kris Richard proved his value to the team by that talent-recognition act, in and of itself. He's certainly showing signs of being an excellent DC as well, whenever Marinelli retires. He's also calling all the defensive plays. That shows a wealth of trust for a coach in his first year with the Cowboys.

Targeted 5 times vs giants and gave up 1 catch for 0 yards.

2nd ranked CB in the league according to PFF.

Not to bad!
Byron has been one of our most reliable players sine he's been here. He's finally in a position that he truly belongs and is excelling.

Never underestimate the value of good coaching.........Jimmy Johnson
You see when Jimmy says that it sounds kind of "self serving". Now if Troy Aikman said that, sign me up, lol.

Seriously, Richard is a special coach. He's getting our CBs to be more agressive and play a different technique and its working wonders with Jones, Awuzie and even Anthony Brown.

I can't stress this enough - totally true and we have a pea brain for a head coach. Look what K. Richard has done in the 2 seconds he's been here and look what Garrett has done in the 8 years he's been here. I want to vomit thinking about it and I paid good money for the oatmeal I just ate..

Troy aikman has said it. Go watch a Football life.

U already know how I feel about him. Just don't put him in zone coverage his instincts are sub par and he takes **** angles. Man coverage has always been his strong suit. Way to go Richard he saw in 5 min what the coaching couldn't see in 3 years. But now of course we will have to pay him. O yeh and he's allergic to turnovers he even stops other guys from making ints.
Hey at least youre changing your tune! It used to be he was a bust and now you recognize his strengths! Progress

First Lawrence now Byron. Feeling myself

I like Byron, but we have yet to record a pick, despite putting both of the QBs under pressure all game.

Take one to the house, Byron!
I dont think he even tries for INTs anymore. Only when theyre tipped. He focuses on not getting burned. With how bad his hands are it might not be a bad idea.

He has been so good and Richard deserves some credit too. Gotta love the way he's got the entire Secondary playing so far.

I cant believe how fickle this fan base. Two games into 2018 and now everyone likes him.
Where have you been? The very second he gets beat or scored on the pitchforks and torches will come out.

I've been the biggest Byron proponent on here for multiple seasons now.

What is your question? Oh I know they will. If Odell had scored last week, despite him being the best receiver in the league, everyone would have brought out the bust label again.

I've always liked Jones. Good kid, stays out of trouble, smart and one hell of an athlete. Just needed some support around him and coaching has been fantastic on that side.

Man, it's sooooo nice to feel like we can count of the defense if needed. That is huge. And also a little foreign.

You can not blame those who didn't like him at safety because he was not very good.
He was a quality safety in 2016. I really cant tell you what happened last year, It appears to be an anomaly year for BJ so far.
