It seems that Caleb Downs is the first Can't Miss Prospect I can ever remember Drafting.
The only thing that will prevent him from excelling is injury.
He has the physical and mental make up that insures that he should be a Top player at the Safety/Slot Corner position.
It's hard to think of a situation where a drafted player had no questions/doubts about them being successful.
Every player has had questions/doubts regardless of position.
The consensus among coaches and players is that he is a can't fail prospect.
It's expected that all rookies have an adjustment period but Caleb seems to be someone who's adjustment time will be fairly short.

Looking forward to seeing the different packages like Big Nickel where we have 3 safeties out there. That's when I could see him in the slot.

Tyler Booker. Can't miss, didn't. Zach Martin. Micah Parsons. All can't miss.

I have heard the term "cant miss" for a long time and all it seems to mean is that instead of a 50/50 hit its a 75% hit.

There is no such thing as “can’t miss” prospect.

But he is a close to it as a player could be
Of course, that's just the wording used to signify a prospect that shouldn't have any trouble translating his skills to the pro game. Not to be taken literally.

There are many NFL terms not to be taken literally. "Shuts down half the field." You think a player really has "sand in his pants"?

I have not seen Cowboy fans this excited about a 1st round pick since Troy Aikman. Roy Williams got us pretty riled up, but not like this.

Danny Noonan was such a disappointment to me.

I don't see how anyone would be more excited about Downs than CD lol
Remember, we already had Amardi when we CD and as strange as sound, Dak critics saw CD as helping Dak's game. But I'm sensing 100% universal excitement for Downs.
