PC games can have good graphics, but they don't run smoothly on any system whatsoever. And by "smoothly" I mean perfectly smooth. That's what pisses me off. Any sort of jerky motion whatsoever completely kills the experience for me and even the most kick *** PC system has jerky motion, so don't pretend that it doesn't.

And by the way that picture isn't that impressive. Console games easily have graphics that good.

I must say. Your PC must really suck *** cause I haven't a ****ing clue what the hell you are talking about.

I have NEVER seen a console game look better than a PC version. EVER! (Madden, CoD, doesn't matter, it has NEVER happen)

Looking great != running smoothly.

But we all know you're an irrational advocate of certain technologies that will make any ridiculous argument to defend that particular technology, so I don't expect you to understand what I'm saying.

No PC, despite the best technology out there, will run a high end game smoothly. I don't get why that is, but it's true. And it's annoying. If it wasn't true, I would own more PC games.

my husband, who's a gamer, doesn't have any games for the PC. he prefers his game systems like the Wii, for example.

as for this game, i don't think he'll buy it.

Some of you don't game enough on PC's if you think for a second that console graphics even compete w/ a PC video card.

I'll put my dual cards against any console game out there that's been ported to the PC platform.

PC games are far more detailed than most console games that have been ported.

Dragon Age Orgins - Yes you can keep the blood spatter on. You get to look like a mess after every fight. Muahahah!

How much did you pay for your two graphic cards?

Huh? You've never played a game on a PC that ran smoothly? I'm not sure exactly what you mean, perhaps you could clarify?

If you're talking frame rates, that's graphics in general. Even the consoles drop frames and you can tweak the graphic setting on a pc game to try and remedy that, no such option with consoles.

I read this thread and thought... Hmm I'll play some bomberman live for about 30 minutes or so while I got a little time to spare.

Turned on my X Box and all I see is E 74

Yeah...but it might cost you 100 bucks.

lol screw that then.

I play it about 2 hours a week. Ill just try and fix it myself. Evidently the E 74 is a common problem and there is vids all over youtube on how to fix.

I spent the 100 bucks once....mine didn't get the red ring until it was about 4 1/2 years old.

...but if it happens again, I'll try to fix it myself...or hope that at that point they'll have a new console that I can worry about.

Still worth it to me though. The online play makes it worthwhile.

They have a 3 year warranty on the red rings error, did you get it over 3 years ago?

I have two. One that I get when the 360 was originally released and a elite. They both have gotten the error, the white one twice. The Elite was still under warranty so I sent it in.

The original was out of warranty so I got one of the fix kits off ebay, sat down with a beer and did it myself. It's not hard, the instructions I got were more or less idiot proof but I've opened mine up a few times already (the optical drive died and I bought and replaced it myself) so I was a little more confident as to how it came apart and back together.

I'd recommend doing it yourself if its out of warranty, the kit is only like 20 bucks and it takes at most 3 hours.

The xbox repair process is much better than it used to be though, it doesnt take 3 weeks. You can do it all online and print up a prepaid shipping label, drop it off at UPS the next day and have it back in about a week and a half or so.

Your warranty shouldn't be out. They extended all warranties to like 3 years. I guess if you got on the launch day, you'd be screwed.

Not to get off the subject of the OP, but I just bought a 360 elite for my kids for Christmas. I'm a PC gamer so I don't know much about the consoles and if these errors are still a problem.

I bought it from Best Buy. Should I purchase the Best Buy warranty that they sell for it. I believe it is $99?
