As many of us know..everybody’s favorite 6th round pick is on our practice squad and he looked pretty good in preseason.

With postseason looming...most of us agree, we need to try to limit Zeke so he’s fresh for the postseason(I still want him to play). Problem is...if we want to remain competitive, it’ll be hard to limit Zeke too much with only one other back on our roster. Also...heaven forbid, the last thing we want in a playoff game is to need a legit running back(not a FB) and not have one.

Smith was better yesterday for sure but I think most of us agree that he’s been very average for the season. Let’s see what Jackson looks like in a real game with a few carries and maybe we will get lucky and add another weapon before postseason.

It’s all a question of who to cut. I think we could cut Mike White and be able to retain him. I highly doubt anyone puts him on their active roster at this point...but maybe there is someone else? The FB we never use?

Commanders need a QB. I dont think RB is going to be all that important to add unless Rod Smith gets hurt

I'm all for it but I think the game plan is to go to TEs more often rather than push carries to another back

either way, I think they'll try to keep Zeke fresh

Maybe someone like the Commanders pick White up or the Bengals.

Too risky.

I think so. Wasn't he a decent kick off returner in college? If so, might be an upgrade over Lewis there. Plus he would add depth at RB. When Zeke was being evaluated, I was thinking, please don't get hurt Rod. Not sure who to cut though. I would say a LB, because we're pretty deep there.

I wish we had a better threat as our #2RB too. Jackson is probably that over Smith.

But I don't see cutting White. A developmental QB is exactly the kind of guy you poach from a PS in December when you're looking for players for next year.

Jackson was actually a special teams guy in College. I'd like to see him run back kicks. Maybe punts, if the hands are ok. Think guy with speed. Works for me. Should be good in coverage too. And he'd give us something as a RB.

I'd cut Lenoir.

He's not even a JAG. He's gotten 6 snaps on offense. He's all special teams snaps. Jackson should be fine replacing that. And he'll make it back to the PS no problem. No team is dying for Lance Lenoir.

Our big problem is too many developmental TEs, too many WRs.

A running team, with only 1 RB we really want to run, and only two on the game day roster. If Zeke had gone out for concussion protocol, it's only Rod Smith for the rest of the game, even if he doesn't get injured.

Not good.

We haven’t won anything yet.

this roster needs to be streamlined, id dump Lance or Rico and call him up and let the running game set up the pass.

Huh?

How is that relevant to the discussion?
It’s quite obvious. You’re acting like we’re in the playoffs or something. We’re not. Zeke is part of the triplets just like in the 90’s. Without all 3, our offense is not. We need to win at least 1 more game. All 3 need to play all 3 remaining games. Even the last game if we have clinched by then. Maybe not the whole game, but need to keep them sharp.
