Even if Smith is at 9 I can see Jerry willing to gamble on a trade back with Carimi as his insurance policy.



1 thing is for sure though and thats that a random name will pop up that we supposedly like a lot about a week before the draft.

Well that was challenging to read but I managed, very proud of myself.

As far as the post itself, why would the Skinns want Smith when they spent a Top 10 pick on Trent Williams last year and traded for Jammal Brown just last year?

I think the Skins are going to take a WR. They want to be like Dallas so bad that after see what we got with Dez, they'll want to do the exact same thing.

Ha, I don't know... For what we will do, I'd have to go with the chalk and take a small trade up for Peterson or Smith. We know for a fact we've had interest in those guys, and the last few years those reports have been dead on.

As for what we should do, I'd still try to trade back a few spots and take a Carimi or even a Cam Jordan or Watt or Solder. (Still have some doubts about Watt, though.)

If he drops to Cleveland, they would be doing cartwheels all the way to the podium. They have a big need for a second CB and would love to have PP.
This is assuming AJ Green is gone. They may take Green over Peterson if given the choice based on need. Still, there are some very good WRs that will be there at the top of the 2nd round, so they may be able to adress both needs.

As for Smith going before us at 9...I'd be very surpised. In other years, I think his true value would be in the middle of the 1st round.

The Cowboys were 13-3 2 years ago. There's a lot of talent on this team. I really think that if we could shore up the secondary, we'd have the talent to go all the way. We could fill the other needs via free agency, trades. I've got a feeling the front office feels the same way and will trade up for Peterson.

I think Smith is going to be the selection. I can also see Peterson going earlier than most expect.

A team like the Patriots are going to be making a big splash with tons of assets to move around.

13-3. The old standby!

I don't think there's nearly as much talent on this team as people want to think, and where we're sparse is where it really matters: in the trenches, at safety and a playmaking ILB.

We've got sizzle but no steak.
