Bill Callahan said #Cowboys "cranked up the noise extremely loud" during practice at @ATTStadium to prepare for #Chiefs crowd.

Bill Callahan on KC doubling Dez Bryant: "We'll be ready for it. It's our job as coaches to put him in the right positions to get open."

How did #Cowboys play-calling go in Week 1: Offensive coordinator Bill Callahan: "I thought it flowed really smooth, real smooth."

The play calling does have one extra step though.
It goes Callahan to Wilson to Romo.
Has to add a few seconds, IMO.

I think the fact that it is via a number system with Romo wearing a wristband has sped things up significantly. Very few instances of snapping the ball just before the game clock expired. That relay via Wilson appears to be a nonissue in my view. It is simply due to the fact Wilson is on the radio headset to the QB helmet which I believe is a league requirement - that the QB radio communication come from sideline personnel and not dudes in the booth.

Agree, seems more efficient...and from my recollection there were several seconds on the clock more times than not when the ball was snapped. Previously it seemed to come down to the wire every play and the defense knew that.

what game did you watch? Maybe less than the past but I wouldn't say very few. I'd actually go to the other end and say a slight improvement but still happening too often which makes me think that it is a romo thing and he is taking the whole time to make sure he is seeing the D the way he thinks he is seeing the D.

IIRC, he and Fred spent some time making sure that they both had the Mike backer properly identified and were on the same page. I think we'll be even faster as Fred adjusts and starts to see the same things as Romo.

Much ado about nothing right now folks. Other QBs who use up most of the clock are Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

nope. maybe brees to an extent but not like we do, if it happens to brady or manning it's once a game, not every play during a drive
