I think Weeden is going to surprise many here, which wont be hard as the opinion of him seems pretty low. He got more work in this offseason + Romo Wednesdays. It's all how the team rallies behind him. He cant do it alone like Romo can at times.

In 16 preseason games Moore has...

Completed 135 passes out of 224 attempts for a completion percentage of 60.2 and has had 9 TD's and 4 Int's. His overall QB rating is 83.3

That's not a "car-wreck".

There is no reason to have any kind of confidence in Weeden or Moore.

Weeden looked decent against the Skins, stunk it up against the Cardinals. The latter is what to expect from Weeden. He sucks and is barely a backup in this league.

To be fair, the Cardinals can make a lot of QBs look bad. Especially the ones of Weedens caliber.

Until we face a stout defense, I don't think Weeden will be awful for us.

we are going to need to sink or swim with Weeden I am afraid. Hopefully we can get some resemblence of a running game. I would think the Falcons will be the best case to see if we can run the game. If we can't, it is going to be very difficult to win these games. I am not a Weeden fan but he has been in the system for a year and a half. He knows the coaches and has been throwing to these receivers. He should give you a better chance than a guy off the street. A running game would really help him out, but I am not sure our backs can do what the Commanders backs did yesterday against St. Louis. They dominated that game at the line and really made things pretty easy for Cousins.

Weeden gets a lot of hate because of that Arizona performance but if we judged all players off one game, they'd all be ****...

As I stated last year if this was baseball Weeden does well as a reliever in a pinch, but as a starter he sucks.

I say screw it and go beg Orton to come back. I know he screwed us but we can win with him!

He'll need a new helmet though.

Moore could not have thrown that ball to Williams like Weeden did.

In fact, nobody available could have.

Weeden has bigtime arm talent.. The problem is turnovers.

If Kellen Moore can limit mistakes then I'd play him over Weeden.

Right now though you gotta go with Weeden.

At times, this board has absolutely torched Claiborne, Hayden, Carr, Wilcox, Free, Escobar, Randle, and even Lee.

Weeden won't be as bad as he was against Arizona. He'll be as reasonable as about 30 other backups in the league would be.

This is a good team, and he doesn't have to do everything. Just drive the bus, take care of the ball, and let the defense and team do most of the work. He's good enough to make enough throws to have a chance.

Hey, guys like Manziel, Winston, Taylor, Cousins, Mariotta, Fitzpatrick have won games this year already, whereas Flacco, Wilson, Eli, and Bradford have not.

Weeden played really well against the Cowboys one day when he was with the Browns. Here's hoping he can find that version more often than not for seven games.

I have the opposite feeling. I believe Weeden will surprise and atone for his play vs the Cards last season.

We will beat the Falcons btw.

Listen, If Jameis Winston and the Bucs can go into New Orleans and beat Tampa then I think we got a chance...

You're right.

It's not as bad as some people think. Im not going to try and put a positive spin on it either but we can win a game or 3 in Romo's absence.

NYG and Philly are not going to go 10-4 the rest of the year.

If Dallas gets to 6 wins somehow before Romo gets back then we got this thing.

If we come out of the Falcons game 3-0? I'm going to fill a bathtub full of Cowboys blue-colored Koolaid and swim in it.

I have not been a Weeden fan, but I am calling it now. The schedule could not line up better for Weeden these next few weeks. vs. Falcons and vs. Saints.

People will be saying he is legit going into the Patriots game. They will even be calling for an upset of New England.

That was a thing of beauty. I must admit.

He was confident throughout the entire play.

A few of those per game and we have a chance.

Why all the Moore love? Dude has been in the league for 3 years. If he was such a stud, he'd be slinging balls on Sunday for another team by now.

In reality, he's never thrown a pass in an NFL game.
