Said nothing about an arrow pointing down. But to think that replacing half the defense with rookies will equate to a top 10 defense by week 8 is pretty ridiculous. Rookie mistakes alone and lack of continuity and learning curve will more than likely make the first half a little bit of a struggle. And then again, we havent even made it through training camp yet so we dont even know who will be playing and who will not. At this time most of you cats assume Jaylon will be playing, Lee will be 100% and all rookies will be an improvement and healthy.

Maybe something like what Atlanta went through where they were better in the 2nd half of year on defense. But truth be told, the big jump will more than likely happen in year two of this haul.

You said our defense being top 10 is completely dependent on the front 7. Most teams run 5 DBs on the field as a base defense.

If you don't think secondary plays a part in your defense, you aren't nearly as smart as you think you are.
